Damian Bierman

Co-Chair, Asia Pacific Education and Marketing Subcommittee - FIX Trading Community, and
Managing Director APAC & Co-Founder - Blackwired Pte Ltd

Damian Bierman is a Founding Partner of Blackwired Pte Ltd, responsible for business development and expanding relationships, across the region and globally. Blackwired is a next-generation cyber intelligence firm trusted by governments, law enforcement, global corporations, and systemic institutions.

Damian is active within the FIX Trading Community, serving as Co-Chair of the Asia-Pacific Education and Marketing Committee. He has been a mainstay of the community and an enthusiastic promoter of FIX since landing in Hong Kong over 20 years ago.

Prior to Blackwired, Damian was APAC Head of Trading Solutions for FactSet, following its acquisition of Portware in 2015. Damian established the Portware EMS business in Asia-Pacific in 2007.

Prior, Damian ran FIX Services in APAC for NYFIX (a Broadridge business) and was an early employee at Wall Street startup Javelin Technologies, bringing its Appia FIX engine to market from early 2000.

Andrew Crawford

Vice President, Digital Assets - Franklin Templeton

Andrew currently leads Franklin Templeton’s digital asset initiatives in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Europe. He has over 28 years’ experience in financial services in executive roles with Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, and Tiedemann Investment Group. He was the Founder of Shadforth Financial Group in 1996, an independent wealth management company that was acquired by IOOF in 2014 for $650 million with client assets under advice of $16 billion.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of Tasmania and undertook a PhD at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently undertaking a Master of Financial Planning at Victoria University.

Louis-Vincent Gave

Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer - Gavekal

After receiving his bachelor's degree from Duke University and studying Mandarin at Nanjing University, Louis joined the French Army where he served as a second lieutenant in a mountain infantry battalion. After a couple of years, Louis left the army and joined Paribas where he worked as a financial analyst—first in Paris, then in Hong Kong.

Louis left Paribas in 1998 to launch Gavekal with his father Charles and Anatole Kaletsky. The idea at the time was that Asia was set to become an ever more important factor in global growth, and that consequently Gavekal needed to offer its clients more information, and more ideas, relating to Asia.

Louis has written seven books, the latest being Avoiding the Punch: Investing in Uncertain Times which reviews how to build a portfolio at a time of rising geostrategic strife, and when very low interest rates and stretched valuations on most assets announce constrained returns on most assets over the next decade.

Louis speaks English and French. He spent many hours studying Mandarin and Spanish, which he once spoke decently. He is married with two sons and two daughters.

Katie He

Director, Head of Product and Strategy - ChinaAMC (HK)

Ms. Katie He, Head of Product and Strategy at ChinaAMC (HK), leads the development and management of the product shelf and drives strategic growth initiatives at ChinaAMC (HK). Katie has over 12 years of experience in asset management and asset servicing internationally. Prior to joining ChinaAMC (HK) in May 2018, she held positions at a leading structured finance corporate trust based in the UK and a renowned asset servicing company in Canada. Katie holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from University of Waterloo and a Master's degree in Finance from Queen's University.

Abhishek Janaki

Head of Liquidity Sourcing APAC - Virtu Financial

Abhishek (more commonly known as AJ) manages Virtu’s APAC POSIT ATS, POSIT Alert block indications network and dark liquidity aggregation strategy. Since the launch of POSIT Alert in Asia 9 years ago, Abhishek has helped deliver block liquidity to subscribers in 12 markets. More recently his focus is to unite liquidity sourced from Institutional clients with conditional orders from electronic/sell-side participants for matching that does not require negotiation.

Winnie Khattar

Head of APAC Advocacy, BlackRock Global Markets - BlackRock Asset Management

Winnie Khattar is APAC Head of Advocacy for BlackRock Global Markets (BGM). BlackRock Global Markets (BGM) is at the core of BlackRock's markets and investments platform, and includes index investing, global equites & fixed income trading, securities lending, liquidity and financing. As head of BGM advocacy, Winnie helps our teams deliver strategic market outcomes by advocating for policy and market structure reform, education and industry engagements; leveraging her capital markets experience and BlackRock's leading investment platform insights. Winnie is also the co-chair for BlackRock’s Women’s network in Hong Kong.

Prior to this, Winnie was Head of Market Structure for ETF & Index Investing (EII), at BlackRock. Prior to BlackRock, Winnie worked at BofA Securities, and Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, London and Mumbai. Winnie is a passionate positive person, who enjoys outdoors, trail running, sailing and community initiatives both inside and outside work.

Frances Liu

APAC Open Symbology Data Strategist - Bloomberg L.P.

Frances Liu is a senior data professional with over 17 years of experience in the financial industry, specializing in market identifiers, reference data, digital assets, and ESG data. In her current role, she oversees APAC Open Symbology data, driving strategy, product development, and industry engagement for the Financial Instrument Global Identifier (FIGI) and Legal Entity Identifiers (LEIs) standards across the APAC Region.

Frances is an active contributor to global standardization efforts. She is a member of the ISO TC322 Sustainable Finance Working group under the Standardization Administration of China and ISO TC68 e-finance services group under Enterprise Singapore. Since 2025, she has co-chaired the APAC FIX Technical Committee, furthering her commitment to advancing industry standards and best practices.

Before joining the Open Symbology team in 2017, she served as an APAC Senior ESG specialist where she established the Hong Kong Sustainability Reporting Working Group in 2012.

Kevin Loo

CEO - DigiFT (Hong Kong)

Kevin is the CEO (HK) of DigiFT, (Hong Kong), with Approval-In-Principal by HK SFC for Type 1 / 4 and a group company of a licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) entity, which is authorised to provide origination, distribution as well as secondary market trading of tokenised Web3 asset tokens and digital assets. The DigiFT group is the institutional authorised tokenised distributor of UBS Asset Management and Invesco Asset Management, alongside other tokenised RWA assets.

Kevin brings a unique cross over investment and technology pedigree. He is a recognized early adopter and investor of both crypto and related DLT technology since 2016. As an advocate for professional standards across the digital asset landscape and active thought leader providing education, he aims to market development and regulatory policy consultation.

Leveraging two decades of traditional finance experience, has previously co-founded and served as CIO of various digital asset active and passive fund strategies, helping to oversee treasury and asset management services for various investor types.

Further, he has held various professional investment positions with PIMCO, Fidelity International, BNP Paribas in London and Hong Kong, and has an established institutional track record within global debt markets, including Global Bonds, EM Debt and Asia Credit and FX. Additionally, he is a mentor to the Cyberport Incubator Fund providing strategic and technology advisory to portfolio start-ups.

Edward Mangles

Regional Director, Asia Pacific - FIX Trading Community

Edward Mangles has helped support The FIX Trading Community’s Asia Pacific committee for over 20 years, playing a key role in promoting institutional trading standards and FIX adoption across the region, and facilitating cross-industry collaboration. In March 2009, Edward was appointed Asia Pacific Regional Director for the FIX Trading Community, and works closely with the buyside, sellside, regulator, exchange and technology provider members of the institutional trading community to support efficient trading.

Ankit Mittal

Co-Chair, Asia Pacific Steering Committee - FIX Trading Community, and
Director – Aladdin Trading Platform & Product Marketing – BlackRock

Ankit Mittal is a leading advocate for innovation in trading technology and market structure, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Steering Committee at FIX Trading Community. In this role, he drives strategic initiatives across APAC, fostering industry collaboration, advancing FIX standards, and supporting the evolution of electronic trading.

Professionally, Ankit is a Director at BlackRock, where he leads Trading Platform & Product Marketing for APAC. He is responsible for driving product adoption, user engagement, and seamless deployment of Aladdin’s trading solutions across the buy-side community. Additionally, he spearheads Aladdin EMS partnerships globally and leads key initiatives to enhance the trading ecosystem in the region.

Prior to rejoining BlackRock, Ankit was Business Change Manager for Global Trading at Schroders, working closely with global trading desks to implement transformational initiatives in multi-asset trading. He also brings sell-side experience from Credit Suisse and began his career as a software engineer in the Aladdin Product Group at BlackRock India.

Ankit holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering and an MBA from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. With a deep passion for trading innovation and market structure evolution, he continues to shape the future of electronic trading in APAC.

David Runacres

President of APAC - Broadridge

David Runacres, based in Tokyo, joined Broadridge as the President of APAC in 2024. David is responsible for spearheading Broadridge's regional operations and growth strategy across the APAC markets, with the goal of strengthening the company's market position and delivering unparalleled value to its clients.

David brings a wealth of experience to Broadridge, having previously worked at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) for 12 years, where he served as the Head of Japan. During his tenure at LSEG, he successfully led various high-impact projects, including the integration of Refinitiv in Japan and the expansion of LSEG's footprint across the region. Prior to his time at LSEG, David held key sales roles at renowned organizations such SunGard Systems and Thomson Financial, where he honed his expertise in market development, client management, and operational excellence. Over the course of his career, he has been based in several key APAC locations, including Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo, giving him a deep understanding of the region's diverse markets and clientele.

Vince Turcotte

Co-Chair, Digital Assets & Technology Committee - FIX Trading Community, and Senior Director - Solidus Labs, & Senior Advisor, Asia Pacific - Chainlink Labs

Vince Turcotte is a Senior Director for Solidus Labs, and also serves as Senior Advisor for Capital Markets for the Asia Pacific region at Chainlink Labs. He also is global co-Chair of the FIX Digital Assets & Technology committee. Vince has more than two decades of experience at exchanges, broker-dealers and futures commission merchants (FCMs). Operating out of Hong Kong, he helping build Solidus' regional presence, expanding the client base in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. He also works with major accounts at Chainlink, advising on blockchain adoption. Previously, Vince worked with trade surveillance firm Eventus, served Director, Asia Pacific, for Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), and as Managing Director, Asia Pacific & Japan for Exchange Traded Derivatives for Nomura International.

From 1995 to 2011, Turcotte held senior production and sales management positions at Newedge Group as well as global banks UBS and JPMorgan Chase in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. He previously held Vice President and Director roles at several brokerage firms after starting his career as a booth clerk and runner on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading floor.

Turcotte earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, graduating Cum Laude.
