Mr. Chan was appointed the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury on 16 August 2017.
Mr. Chan has many years of senior executive experience in the banking industry. He was a Managing Director in the Global Markets Division of Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, and was a Managing Director in Financial Markets of Standard Chartered Bank.
Prior to joining the Government, Mr. Chan held multiple roles in a number of public and professional bodies, including Vice President of the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts, Director of Hong Kong Securities & Investment Institute, Advisor of the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society, as well as a General Committee member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Chan was also a member of the Central & Western District Council.
Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Hon) and Psychology from the University of Michigan, USA. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
As the sales lead for Liquidnet’s Investment Analytics business across APAC, Jade provides clients with data-driven solutions to accelerate and improve the investment decision-making process. With multi-asset experience across both APAC and Europe, she has also held roles at OTAS, Bloomberg and Tradeweb, with a focus on execution sales.
Alex is responsible for macro delta one and ETF distribution in APAC, working closely with global institutional clients on efficient access to Asia markets and tactical asset allocation. Alex has been at Goldman Sachs for 9 years and moved to Hong Kong in 2017.
Puja Bharwani, is a senior equities trader for Fidelity International. Though currently focused on a Hong Kong / China markets, she has regional expertise across APAC from Australia through India. She has been trading regional equity and equity-linked products for the buy-side since 2014, previously with Blackrock. Prior to this she worked on HSBC Program Trading desk, and started her career working as a trader’s assistant at ML.
Puja holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Business Administration from Boston University.
Damian Bierman is a Founding Partner of Blackwired Pte Ltd, responsible for business development and expanding relationships, across the region and globally. Blackwired is a next-generation cyber intelligence firm trusted by governments, law enforcement, global corporations, and systemic institutions.
Damian is active within the FIX Trading Community, serving as Co-Chair of the Asia-Pacific Education and Marketing Committee. He has been a mainstay of the community and an enthusiastic promoter of FIX since landing in Hong Kong almost 20 years ago.
Prior to Blackwired, Damian was APAC Head of Trading Solutions for FactSet, following its acquisition of Portware in 2015. Damian established the Portware EMS business in Asia-Pacific in 2007.
Prior, Damian ran FIX Services in APAC for NYFIX (a Broadridge business) and was an early employee at Wall Street startup Javelin Technologies, bringing its Appia FIX engine to market from early 2000.
Winter is currently the Head of Portfolio Management Technology APAC and has been working in JP Morgan Asset management since 2006 in a variety roles across the equities technology organization. In his current role he faces off to the head of Asia investment management, trading and other senior equities/GFICC/multi asset class solutions stakeholders driving both regional and global technology initiatives within the investment management and trading space.
Most recently Winter has been leading efforts on delivery of technology solutions in support of the transformation of the regional investment management and trading function and designing a solution to support on-shore Trading in China.
Winter participates in industry forums and events actively that contributes to various APAC related initiatives. He is also a Co-Chair of the FIX technical subcommittee in Asia. In such capacity, he is currently working on an update to the guide to cover the HKIDR initiative.
Winter holds a BSc in Computer Science and Information Systems and a MPhil in Computer Information Systems from the University of Hong Kong.
Lyndon Chao is Managing Director of ASIFMA's Equities and Post Trade Division, responsible for ASIFMA's Equities Committee, Equity Capital Markets Committee, Post Trade Committee and China Capital Markets Committee, helping the Industry advocate for reforms across markets in Asia. In addition, Lyndon also leads a number of working groups, including the India Equities Steerco, China Equities WG, Korea Equities WG, Proprietary Trading WG and the Listed Warrants WG.
Lyndon is a seasoned leader in financial services who before joining ASIFMA built a 26-year career with Morgan Stanley across several markets in the capacity of Managing Director spanning New York, Hong Kong, Beijing, Taipei and Shanghai, mostly serving as COO. Lyndon was also seconded by Morgan Stanley both to CICC for its initial launch as well as to CIC as a senior consultant. He then joined UBS to build a Shanghai Business Solutions Center as Managing Director/General Manager. He also served as Trustee on the Board of the Shanghai American School and remains a Protector on the SAS Investment Committee.
Born in Taiwan and raised in the US, Lyndon is fluent in English and Putonghua. He has an Executive MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (joint program with Kellogg) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Northwestern University.
Dave is a serial entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and digital asset sectors.
In 2013, Dave transitioned from Investment Banking into the crypto space and has since built a number of successful businesses. In 2018, he co-founded OSL, now Asia's leading digital asset platform, and serves as an Executive Director on the board of its parent company, BC Group.
OSL provides brokerage, exchange, custody, and SaaS services to professional and institutional investors across the region.
Before joining BC Group, Dave held senior roles at HSBC, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO, and Bear Stearns, among others. He is widely respected for his thought leadership in the digital asset ecosystem and frequently appears on Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and CNN to discuss industry trends. Dave has also been cited in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Vanity Fair, as well as industry outlets like CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph.
Riad Chowdhury joined MarketAxess in September 2020 as the Head of Asia-Pacific. Riad leads the growth strategy for MarketAxess’ expanding Asia Pacific business and is responsible for all business operations for MarketAxess in the region, including the active expansion of the firm’s relationships with regional and global institutional investors and dealers. Riad was previously Managing Director – Head of Global Execution Services for Asia at Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to Standard Chartered, he held senior roles at ANZ Banking Group and Deutsche Bank, coordinating new business development and revenue growth with both Asian and international clients. He is an experienced leader in the development and adoption of e-trading technologies, having spearheaded successful global initiatives across both rates and FX.

Ade Cordell is President, Asia-Pacific at Cboe.
Based in Singapore, Ade is responsible for Cboe’s APAC businesses and is the Chair of Cboe Australia and Cboe Japan. He was previously President of Cboe Netherlands where he led the development and launch of Cboe Europe’s Amsterdam based derivatives exchange in September 2021.
Prior to joining Cboe Europe in January 2020, Ade was the Global Head of Equity Derivatives at the Intercontinental Exchange where his role encompassed leading client facing business development and product teams in Europe and North America. He has an international career background having worked in London and New York with Deutsche Bank, as well as stints in London and Hong Kong with Credit Suisse First Boston.
Ade holds a MBA in Electronic Business from City, University of London, and a MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Carl Davey joined Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) in November 2022 as SGX Group’s Chief Representative and Head of Sales for its Hong Kong office. He is responsible for growing SGX Group’s presence in Hong Kong as well as fostering relationships with intermediaries, corporates and clients. He also leads a sales team to support SGX Group’s clients with products and services across asset classes.
Before joining SGX Group, Carl spent most of his career in the global prime brokerage industry, primarily serving a hedge fund clientele. He entered the financial services industry in 1996 in London and has worked in various global locations since, including eight years in New York followed by subsequent postings in the Asia Pacific region from 2007.
Carl was with BNP Paribas since February 2018 heading the prime brokerage sales, servicing and onboarding functions for its multi-asset product suite. Prior to BNP Paribas, he spent five years with Citigroup where he led regional hedge fund sales in Asia for Citigroup’s Investor Services business. Before Citigroup, Carl spent 16 years with Morgan Stanley in the U.S., UK and Asia, where his last role was leading their prime brokerage unit in Singapore.
During his prime brokerage career, Carl formulated and led sales strategies, managed sales and client service teams, and performed relationship management functions across multiple regions. Carl also led Morgan Stanley’s capital introductions effort for Australasia while based in Sydney.
Carl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from The University of Waikato in New Zealand, with a double major in Accounting & Finance and Marketing & International Management.
Antoine de Saint Vaulry is leading the ETF initiative for CITI in APAC based in Hong Kong.
Antoine started his career in 2001 at Société Générale on the Equity Finance desk in Paris, and moved in 2004 to join the Securities Finance department of Commerzbank in London. In 2010, he relocated to Hong Kong to lead Commerzbank’s Delta 1 and Securities Financing Trading team.
From 2012 onwards, he has been in charge of setting up and developing Commerzbank’s award winning Asian ETF Market Making platform.
He joined CITI in September 2018, to build and grow Citi’s ETF Market Making capabilities in APAC and globally, as APAC Head of ETF trading.
He recently expanded his remit to cover Sales and Business Development for the ETF initiative across CITI’s different businesses.
With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in equity products, Antoine is a frequent contributor to the ETF world, whether it is speaking at conferences, roundtables and workshops or being quoted in articles around Asia.
Antoine received an MSc in Management from ESSEC Business School in France in 2001.
Dennis Fok is Head of ETF Portfolio Management at Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), where he is responsible for leading the ETF investment platform and driving the growth of the Global X ETFs’ offering within Asia region. He is also accountable in interacting with different stakeholders within the ETF ecosystem in promoting the adoption of ETFs for both retail and institutional investors.
Dennis has over 15 years of investment experience managing both fixed income and equity ETFs, and he has in-depth knowledge of the ETF capital markets. Prior to joining Mirae Asset, Dennis was the Head of ETF at Harvest Global Investment focusing on the business development strategy of the ETF platform. He had previously served as a senior ETF portfolio manager at Bank of Montreal Global Asset Management since 2018 and spent 11 years at Blackrock as lead portfolio manager managing both ETFs and institutional index mandates.
Dennis holds a master degree of Financial Engineering from Cornell University and bachelor degree of Science form the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Harry Fu is responsible for overseeing SSE’s international business and cross-border cooperation. He led SSE’s major international business projects including Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, SSE-LSEG Stock Connect, China-Japan ETF Connectivity and SSE’s investment in overseas markets. Dr. Fu chairs the Board of China Investment Information Services Ltd (Hong Kong) and serves as board members in a number of exchanges, including Pakistan Stock Exchange, Astana International Exchange, and China European International Exchange. He received “Shanghai Financier Award” in 2014 and “Shanghai Financial Leadership Award” in 2017.
Prior to joining Shanghai Stock Exchange, Dr. Fu worked in investment banks and Fudan University. He graduated from Fudan University in 1998, where he earned his PhD in Finance.

Joel Hurewitz is Managing Director, Head of Instinet Technology Solutions (ITS), Asia Pacific. In this role, Joel drives forward the firm's strategy and delivery of Instinet’s legendary trading technology and software solutions to buy side and sell side clients, including the creation of highly customized infrastructures and bespoke hosted, as well as enterprise, platforms that address our clients’ trading lifecycle needs. Joel initially joined Instinet in 2009 to run broker dealer sales in the APAC region, and over the course of his 14 years with the firm, he has held a number of increasingly senior positions, including Head of Product Strategy and Head of Electronic Trading.
Prior to joining Instinet, Joel held roles with Deutsche Bank, HSBC, and CLSA where he built electronic businesses, products, and teams.
Abhishek (more commonly known as AJ) manages Virtu’s APAC POSIT ATS, POSIT Alert block indications network and dark liquidity aggregation strategy. Since the launch of POSIT Alert in Asia 9 years ago, Abhishek has helped deliver block liquidity to subscribers in 12 markets. More recently his focus is to unite liquidity sourced from Institutional clients with conditional orders from electronic/sell-side participants for matching that does not require negotiation.
Jim has worked in the financial industry for 25 years, mostly in equities electronic trading, market structure and regulatory implementation. He has been involved in FIX in various capacities over most of this period, having served as GSC co-chair for eight years, a director for five and as co-chair of various working groups.
Winnie Khattar is Head of Market Structure for ETF & Index Investing (EII) Markets & Investments in APAC. In her role, Winnie is responsible for providing thought-leadership and content on local ETF market structure and develop the ETF industry in the region, by discussing with regional regulators, exchanges and market participants, advocating industry standards for ETFs and driving sustainable policy reform. Winnie works closely with BlackRock's businesses across Global Public Policy Group, iShares and Index Investments, Fixed Income and Trading Liquidity & Lending to ascertain the full impact of any structural change and guide unified opinion. She also engages with asset management associations and regulators on cross-border trading, marketing and distribution of local ETFs in the region. Winnie is also deeply involved in BlackRock’s local ETF range product quality and secondary trading.
Winnie is also co-chair of BlackRock’s women’s network in Hong Kong. Outside of BlackRock, is now the co-chair of the FIX Asia Pacific ETF Working Group.
Prior to BlackRock, Winnie worked at BofA Securities, where she conceptualized and launched BofA's Market Structure offering in Asia and spent 10-years at Deutsche Bank in Mumbai, London and Hong Kong prior to that. Winnie graduated in 2007 with Physics degree from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, India. Winnie is a passionate positive person, who enjoys outdoors, trail running, gardening and community initiatives both inside and outside work.
Ian is Head of Liquidity Strategy, Asia Pacific. He is responsible for the development of Instinet’s liquidity aggregation strategy for the benefit of clients trading in the region, and in particular the evolution of the firm’s non-display trading venues in APAC. Prior to Instinet, he was at HKEX, where he served as a SVP in the Markets Division. Ian previously spent over nine years at London Stock Exchange Group as Head of European Business Development, Turquoise, based in London, and later as Turquoise Head of Asia Business Development, based in Hong Kong.
Ian has an MA from the University of Glasgow, an MSc and LLM from University of London, and is a Member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute.
Sean Lawrence is a 30-year veteran of financial markets, including roles as the CEO of ABN AMRO Clearing Tokyo, CEO of ABN AMRO Clearing Sydney, APAC Head of Professional Trading Group Sales at SG Securities (HK) Ltd, APAC Regional Head of ETD Operations at UBS, APAC Regional Head of Collateral Operations at Deutsche Bank. Sean now heads Kaiko's crypto market data, risk analytics and indices businesses in Asia. Kaiko is the leading cryptocurrency market data provider for institutional investors and enterprises; Kaiko's mission is to bridge traditional and blockchain ecosystems by providing reliable and actionable financial data and services.
As part of the Markets Division, Chris has responsibilities for growing tighter strategic relationships with industry partners, market makers, liquidity providers, brokers, technology vendors and associations across all asset classes, and across the life cycle of a trade; from execution to settlement. From 2000 to 2014, Chris built and ran the Global Execution Services business for ABN AMRO Clearing NV as Global Head; providing infrastructure and trading services across equities, derivatives, commodities and FX. Chris has previous sales trading roles with Barclays Capital and NatWest Markets in London, and has also been Managing Director for a large independent electronic trading software vendor in the UK.
Chris was a founding trustee of a charitable London foundation; Futures For Kids, aimed at helping less fortunate kids around the world.
Daniel is currently the Head of Web3 for Banking Circle, a B2B Bank licensed in Luxembourg with branches in Denmark, Germany and the UK. He is responsible for the Web3 initiatives in Banking Circle and relationships with the digital asset community. Banking Circle is a fully licenced next generation Payments Bank that is designed to meet the global banking and payments needs of Payments businesses, Banks and Marketplaces.
He left DBS in Dec 2021 after 22 years of service to set up a Digital Asset Custody and Prime Services Business in Europe. Together with Calvin Cheng, the former Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore, he set up Damoon Technology Holdings AG, Damoon Technology (Europe) AG and Calvin Cheng Web 3.0 Holdings FZE (provisional licence from the DVARA). He is also an adviser in TechstormTV, an e-sports media company which has over 92 million subscribers. He remains a board member of the Damoon entities.
He was the Head of Business and Listing for the DBS Digital Exchange and was in the founding team working on this project since 2018. He was also involved in other blockchain related projects within the DBS Group including being part of the team that set-up Climate Impact X.
Prior to the DBS Digital Exchange, he was the Executive Director and Head of Electronic Trading servicing intermediaries (broker-clients), digital exchanges, high frequency traders and market makers in the electronic trading space. He has experience in dealing with various regulators and exchanges across the region. He was also responsible for the ETF business. His previous roles in DBS include Research Compliance and also Project Manager for the implementation of a Trading System and FIX order routing infrastructure. He speaks regularly in conferences / forums / seminars on electronic trading, fintech, cryptocurrencies and FIX order routing. He was also involved in many corporate finance related deals and placements (including internal integration and joint-ventures in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, UK and Korea). Prior to joining DBS Securities in 1999, he worked in equity sales, sales trading and research with WI Carr. Before that, he was doing research and was a Data Analysis Tutor at the University of Cambridge. He has an MBA, an LLM in Commercial Law and a First Class Honours degree in Psychology. His MBA studies was sponsored by DBS Securities, while his LLM programme was sponsored by DBS Vickers Securities.
Pamela is Head of Sales, APAC at Talos and responsible for driving sales growth and managing sales operations in this region.
Prior to joining Talos, Pamela was Head of Partnerships, APAC at LMAX Group where her focus was to lead business growth with institutional clients in the FX and digital assets space.
Outside of work, she is passionate about women empowerment and has served on the committees of YWLC (Singapore) and WIFA ASIFMA (Hong Kong). Currently, she is volunteering with the women in blockchain committee under Blockchain Association of Singapore.
She started her career with Credit Suisse as an analyst in the equities sales trading division.
Matthew Lempriere is BSO’s Head of the UK, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Matthew is spearheading BSO’s presence in these three regions to continue our growth trajectory. He also co-chairs the FIX Asia Pacific Emerging Technology and Innovation working group.
Matthew brings a wealth of commercial, sales, client management, product development, and marketing experience to BSO, with 30 years in the finance and telecoms industry. He had a successful career at BT Radianz and built and led Telstra’s Financial Services division. Matthew also holds long-term working relationships with some of the world’s largest financial institutions and within the high-frequency trading community.
Kitty Li is Head of APAC Agency Electronic Trading in UBS. Before she relocated back to Hong Kong, she was Head of Client Trading and Execution for UBS Securities, based in Shanghai.
Kitty has over 18 years of experience in both APAC and global equities markets, with expertise in electronic trading and equities trading in Hong Kong and A-share market. Kitty Li held positions in both buy-side and sell-side across regions globally and gained deep understanding of the equities-trading structure and regulation in the global markets.
Kitty was previously Deputy Head of Trading in SAFE investment company in Hong Kong, where she was responsible for global equites trading.
Prior to this Kitty was in UBS Hong Kong for 6 years. She joined UBS as a quant analyst in 2007, and later moved into Electronic Trading business where she was responsible for Electronic sales trading for Asia-ex Japan markets. Before joining UBS, Kitty worked in Deutsche Bank in New York.
Sabina heads up APAC sales and strategy for Equities Trading, connecting trading participants and member firms to London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
Sabina also leads on relationship management for a number of global investment banks for London Stock Exchange and Turquoise, a pan-European Multi-lateral Trading Facility with 4,300 securities from 19 European countries and the US.
With the project team, Sabina received the 2019 LSEG CEO Award for her outstanding work in Shanghai-London Stock Connect.
In 2023, Sabina was selected to join the Financial Markets Standards Board’s pilot Mentoring Programme.
Prior to joining LSEG in 2010, Sabina was a Project Manager for the University of Oxford, managing the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women initiative. She started her career as a reporter for Phoenix TV in London.
Sabina holds an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Westminster.
Natalie joined State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) in 2018, and is responsible for the execution of their Japanese and Korean books of Equity business, as well as regional listed Futures and Options. She leads the desk’s Algo Wheel development and analysis. Prior to joining SSGA, she was a trader at Robeco in Hong Kong from 2013 to 2018, covering all APAC markets. Natalie started her career in the industry as a management trainee and later worked as an Equity Salestrader at CLSA Limited. Natalie holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester, as well as a Bachelor degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Tammy Lo, Director, is the Global Head of Electronic Trading at BlackRock. She is responsible for the global implementation of the electronic trading platform for trading equities, futures, and FX. She also oversees electronic trading and algo governance initiatives in the firm. Tammy’s service with the firm dates back to 2006, including her years in San Francisco with Barclays Global Investors (BGI). She began her career as a software engineer at ITT Industries, Aerospace and Defense Division.
Tammy is the co-chair of the Families & Allies and Green Team employee networks in BlackRock.
Tammy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University of California, San Diego.
Edward Mangles has helped support The FIX Trading Community’s Asia Pacific committee for over 20 years, playing a key role in promoting institutional trading standards and FIX adoption across the region, and facilitating cross-industry collaboration. In March 2009, Edward was appointed Asia Pacific Regional Director for the FIX Trading Community, and works closely with the buyside, sellside, regulator, exchange and technology provider members of the institutional trading community to support efficient trading.
Ankit is Vice President, Trading Product Marketing in the Aladdin Business of BlackRock. In his role, Ankit is responsible for driving the growth of Aladdin trading product in APAC region by driving product engagement, user education and feature adoption across the Aladdin community. Prior to joining BlackRock, Ankit was Business Change Manager for Global Trading at Schroders and worked closely with global trading desks to drive change initiatives and product management in the multi-asset trading space. Previously, Ankit has worked with Credit Suisse on the sell side and with BlackRock (in India) as a software engineer within Aladdin Product Group.
Ankit is currently Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Technical Subcommittee of FIX Trading Community, responsible for providing technical guidance and advisory to the FIX Trading Community members in the APAC region.
Ankit holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering and has completed his MBA from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Andrew Morgan is President and Chief Revenue Officer of TS Imagine. Andrew has a Capital Markets background spanning two decades and a track record of taking innovative products to market. In his current role, he focusses on accelerating the growth of TS Imagine’s SaaS- based software platform across the financial services industry.
During his two decades leading teams at both Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, Andrew oversaw the strategic deployment of technology spend during periods of digitization and regulatory change. He was directly involved in the ground up development of electronic trading businesses at both firms and applies his extensive experience coordinating diverse global teams across sales, trading, product development, risk, and compliance to his current roles.
At Deutsche Bank Andrew was a Managing Director fulfilling multiple leadership roles including Global Head of Execution Services and Client Strategy, Global Head of Electronic Trading and EMEA Head of Equity Trading. He was a member of the European and Global Equities Executive Committee; chaired global and regional forums for sales, strategy, risk, and regulatory oversight; served on the EMEA Equity Capital Commitment Committee 2012 – 2018; acted as business sponsor for MiFID 2 delivery and was Equities Account Captain for several of Deutsche Bank’s largest clients.
Andrew graduated from Cardiff University with a Bachelor of Social Sciences and an Economics degree and he has an ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales.
Nilakshi works as a Trader & Assistant Portfolio Manager within the Equity Index Group at Vanguard Investments Australia, trading equities and futures on behalf of all of Vanguard’s global funds across fourteen Asia-Pac EM and DM countries. Nilakshi has over 15 years of industry experience in asset management and financial technology in the US and Australia, is a CFA Charterholder, and holds a Masters’ in Financial Engineering from New York University and Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science. Nilakshi also Chairs the Women in ETFs Melbourne Chapter.
Murrough has worked in the industry for over 20 years in New York, London and Sydney and has a broad depth of experience in electronic trading, block trading, market micro-structure, algorithmic trading and technological innovation within equities markets. Prior to Cboe Australia, he ran Liquidnet Australia and before that Head of Electronic Execution for Australia and NZ at Citigroup.
Murrough is Head of Cboe BIDS APAC. He is responsible for spearheading the expansion and growth of BIDS Trading across the region.
Viktor Östebo joined Flow Traders in 2011 and since 2016 he heads up the Institutional Trading department for APAC. He and his team cover external counterparties and institutional investors across the region and provide them with prices, on request, in globally listed ETFs, cash bonds and other financial instruments. Before relocating from Europe to Singapore he was responsible for the coverage of institutional investors across the Nordics, Baltics and CEE.

Emil is a senior software architect and product manager at Esprow, with almost 10 years’ experience in the financial industry. He has contributed significantly to the development of leading solutions for API management and to support adoption of FIX Trading’s Orchestra standard. Emil also has experience in research and academia, having worked at SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf and Hitachi’s research center in Yokohama. He has published and presented papers at IEEE conferences on distributed systems.
As Managing Director and Co-Head of Sales & Marketing for Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, Kevin is principally responsible for global relationship management, marketing and market development.
Kevin joined HKEX in April 2015 from Citigroup, where he served as Head of Wholesale Execution Services, Asia and was Chief Spokesman on the implementation of Stock Connect in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he was based in London for Citigroup as the Global Head of Market Infrastructures and HFT Clearing Group.
Prior to joining Citigroup, Kevin spent 10 years at Thomson Reuters. He held various positions in Thomson Reuters, including Regional Manager Hong Kong, Regional Director Japan and Korea, Managing Director Asia in Singapore and Managing Director - Global Head of Relationship Management and Sales in London for Omgeo (DTCC) division.
Kevin holds a Bsc (Hons) Environmental Chemistry from the University of Hertfordshire.
For the past 12 years Hugh has worked at and now runs Equity trading at Janus Henderson Investors, Singapore. This role has oversight over the trading of regional cash equities, futures, OTC derivative and forex. Prior to his time on the buyside, Hugh worked on the sell side with firms such as NewEdge Hong Kong and UBS Securities Japan. As the Head of Trading at Janus Henderson Investors, he is best suited to give his insights on block trading, technology developments, broker relationships and promotion of DE&I matters in Asia.
Elin leads Liquidnet’s Execution Consulting capability across APAC as a market microstructure and algorithmic trading expert. Her execution consultancy extends across pre- and post-trade analytics, to algo wheel and cluster logic working with trading desks to optomize liquidity. She has previously worked in electronic trading sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as well as execution management with Bloomberg.
Vince Turcotte is the Director of Digital Assets for the Asia Pacific region at Eventus with more than two decades of experience at exchanges, broker-dealers and futures commission merchants (FCMs). Operating out of Hong Kong, he is building on the firm’s regional presence, expanding the client base in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia and Singapore. He previously served for four years as Director, Asia Pacific, for Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and before that as Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Head of Futures & Options for Nomura International, beginning in 2011.
From 1995 to 2011, Turcotte held senior production and sales management positions at Newedge Group as well as global banks UBS and JPMorgan Chase in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. He previously held Vice President and Director roles at several brokerage firms after starting his career as a booth clerk and runner on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading floor.
Turcotte earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, graduating Cum Laude.
Martin Viseux is Head of Fixed Income Trading, APAC at HSBC Asset Management in Hong Kong and has been working in the financial industry since 2014. Martin joined HSBC AM in France in early 2015 as trader with a focus on European Fixed Income. Prior to joining HSBC, Martin worked as trader assistant at AXA Investment Managers in France. Martin holds a MSc in Finance from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France.
Simon is the APAC Head of Equity Trading within BlackRock’s Global Markets group.
Simon’s service with the firm dates back to 2002, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he had responsibility for implementing trading strategies for all of BGI Europe’s index and transition management products. Prior to BGI, Simon worked as a member of the equity portfolio trading desk at CLSA.
Simon is a former co-chair of Asia Trader Forum (ATF) and AAMG China Working Group.
Simon has earned a BSc Hons degree in geological sciences from Durham University.
Clare Witts is currently APAC Co-Chair of the FIX Trading Community, having actively supported the organization for many years across different working groups and sub-committees. She is Head of APAC Market Structure at Credit Suisse, working with clients and across the bank’s equity trading desks. Her role includes assessing the impact of regulatory and policy trends and analysing how that affects the microstructure of the equity markets and improving trading outcomes. Clare has worked in Asia for over 15 years in a variety of roles that help combine big picture trends with actionable trading insights. As well as over 10 years at a leading trading and technology firm, she has worked in cross-industry functions as the Asia Chair for Quorum 15, the think tank for buy and sellside heads of trading; and as Director of Government and Regulator Relations at CFA Institute representing key topics for the investment management industry to regional policymakers.
Benny is the Head of Sellside on the Asset Accumulation Relationship Management team in the Sales & Marketing Department at HKEX. He is the Global Relationship Manager across all business lines and asset classes for some of HKEX’s top Exchanges Participants, i.e., bulge bracket and tier-1 global banks and brokers (Sellside), and he runs the Sellside Relationship Management team that covers the rest of the major International and Chinese institutional banks and brokers.
Benny joined HKEX in September 2015. Prior to HKEX, Benny held a similar role at CME Group in Hong Kong for 2 years. He has 27 years of industry experience, with a majority of them as a cash equity trader across the U.S., Europe, and Asia markets. His trading experience includes buyside trading, sellside trading, sales trading, proprietary trading, program/algo trading, and the Head of 5 different sales trading and trading desks.
Benny holds a bachelors degree and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. He grew up in New York and relocated to Hong Kong in October 2010.
