Damian Bierman is Managing Director APAC for Blackwired Pte Ltd, responsible for expanding business and relationships across the region. Blackwired is a next-generation cyber intelligence firm trusted by governments, law enforcement, global corporations, and systemic institutions.
Damian is active within the FIX Trading Community, serving as Co-Chair of the Asia-Pacific Education and Marketing Subcommittee. He has been a mainstay of the community and an enthusiastic promoter of FIX since landing in Hong Kong almost 20 years ago.
Prior to Blackwired, Damian was APAC Head of Trading Operations for FactSet, following its acquisition of Portware in 2015. Damian established the Portware EMS business in Asia-Pacific in 2007.
Prior, Damian ran FIX Services in APAC for NYFIX, and was an early employee at Wall Street startup Javelin Technologies, bringing its Appia FIX engine to market from early 2000.
Ryan joined Henderson in 2008 and has over 14 years of experience trading APAC equities. He is responsible for algo wheel customization and TCA for APAC at Janus Henderson.
Winter is currently the Head of Portfolio Management Technology APAC and has been working in JP Morgan Asset management since 2006 in a variety roles across the equities technology organization. In his current role he faces off to the head of Asia investment management, trading and other senior equities/GFICC/multi asset class solutions stakeholders driving both regional and global technology initiatives within the investment management and trading space.
Most recently Winter has been leading efforts on delivery of technology solutions in support of the transformation of the regional investment management and trading function and designing a solution to support on-shore Trading in China.
Winter participates in industry forums and events actively that contributes to various APAC related initiatives. He is also a Co-Chair of the FIX technical subcommittee in Asia. In such capacity, he is currently working on an update to the guide to cover the HKIDR initiative.
Winter holds a BSc in Computer Science and Information Systems and a MPhil in Computer Information Systems from the University of Hong Kong.
Anson Chow is a member of Jane Street’s Institutional Sales & Trading team. In this role, Anson focuses on growing the firm’s ETF sales initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region.
Anson joined Jane Street in 2019. Previously, he spent 12 years at Deutsche Bank where he worked in Product Development and Sales and Marketing with a focus on institutional client coverage and investor education. While at Deutsche Bank he helped launch DWS Xtrackers’ operations in Asia, participated in expanding its product range on HKEX and SGX, and worked on the project team that delivered the first physical China A-Shares ETF in the US.
Anson holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. With his work having taken him to over 35 cities in Asia, Europe, and the US, Anson enjoys sharing his experiences across a diverse range of cities and cultures.
Mazy is CEO of OpenFin. Prior to OpenFin, he led credit derivative strategy at the Intercontinental Exchange and served on ICE’s executive committee. Before ICE, Mazy was Chief Strategy Officer of Creditex which was backed by JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and TA Associates and acquired by ICE in 2008. Mazy started his career at UBS as a software programmer. He earned a degree in Computer Science and French Literature from Cornell University.
Antoine de Saint Vaulry is leading the ETF initiative for CITI in APAC based in Hong Kong.
Antoine started his career in 2001 at Société Générale on the Equity Finance desk in Paris, and moved in 2004 to join the Securities Finance department of Commerzbank in London. In 2010, he relocated to Hong Kong to lead Commerzbank’s Delta 1 and Securities Financing Trading team.
From 2012 onwards, he has been in charge of setting up and developing Commerzbank’s award winning Asian ETF Market Making platform.
He joined CITI in September 2018, to build and grow Citi’s ETF Market Making capabilities in APAC and globally, as APAC Head of ETF trading.
He recently expanded his remit to cover Sales and Business Development for the ETF initiative across CITI’s different businesses.
With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in equity products, Antoine is a frequent contributor to the ETF world, whether it is speaking at conferences, roundtables and workshops or being quoted in articles around Asia.

Author and journalist Jame DiBiasio is editor of DigFin, part of AMTD Digital, a media business covering digital finance, fintech and digital assets (https://www.digfingroup.com). He serves on the board of the Fintech Association of Hong Kong. His book PLANET VC will be out in 2023.
Jonathan Finney is Head of APAC Business Development at Citadel Securities. In this role, he is responsible for identifying opportunities for global growth and expansion across markets and into new, diverse product lines, including handling exchange, broker and vendor relationships.
Prior to joining Citadel Securities, Mr. Finney worked at Fidelity International for 11 years, most recently as Head of Global Systematic Trading, overseeing the firm’s low-touch and algorithmic trading development.
Mr. Finney received a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of York before receiving a Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law, York.
Dr. Harry Fu is responsible for overseeing SSE’s international business and cross-border cooperation. He led SSE’s major international business projects including Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, SSE-LSEG Stock Connect, China-Japan ETF Connectivity and SSE’s investment in overseas markets. Dr. Fu chairs the Board of China Investment Information Services Ltd (Hong Kong) and serves as board members in a number of exchanges, including Pakistan Stock Exchange, Astana International Exchange, and China European International Exchange. He received “Shanghai Financier Award” in 2014 and “Shanghai Financial Leadership Award” in 2017.
Prior to joining Shanghai Stock Exchange, Dr. Fu worked in investment banks and Fudan University. He graduated from Fudan University in 1998, where he earned his PhD in Finance.
Colm is the Managing Director, Head of SaaS at OSL. At OSL, Colm focuses on providing licensed global financial institutions with digital asset platforms to support the distribution of digital assets to their customers. Colm carries 25+ years of global leadership experience in world leading trading technology businesses and global financial services firms including Fidessa, SunGard, ION Group, Dealogic, Old Mutual and Man Group.
James Hardcastle is Head of Capital Market Sales - APAC, R3 where he joined the team in October 2021 focusing on the adoption and promotion of R3’s private, permissioned DLT platform, Corda, largely within the FMI ecosystem. James’ career has spanned more than 24 years in Capital Markets starting in London, UK as a Technical Consultant working for Fidessa on numerous projects for tier-one investment banks across Europe. Prior to relocating to Tokyo last year, James spent 5 years in Hong Kong, heading up the Capital Markets Solution Sales team for APAC at Colt Technology Services specializing in low-latency and high-frequency trading infrastructure and market data. James’ career to date has seen him spend more than 22 years in the Asia Pacific region including 5 years in Sydney, Australia where he also took up the position of Co-Chair for the FIX Trading Community Australia Working Group committee; actively involved in the adoption and promotion of the FIX protocol as well as organizing the annual conference. James has a BSc Honours degree in Computer Science & Business Studies from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK, and in his spare time enjoys looking after his two small children as well as running, squash and travelling.
Joel Hurewitz is Managing Director, Head Instinet Technology Solutions for Instinet. The ITS Team at Instinet licenses, distributes, and supports Instinet’s technology. Joel joined Instinet in 2008 to run broker dealer sales, but in the course of his 8 years with the firm has held a number of positions including Head of Product Strategy and Head of Electronic Trading.
With over 20 years equities experience in Asia, Mr. Hurewitz has been an active member, pioneer, and supporter of FIX Trading Community since the early days of electronic trading in Asia.
Prior to joining Instinet, Joel held roles within Deutsche Bank, HSBC, and CLSA where he built electronic businesses, products, and teams.
Abhishek (more commonly known as AJ) manages Virtu’s APAC POSIT ATS, POSIT Alert block indications network and dark liquidity aggregation strategy. Since the launch of POSIT Alert in Asia 9 years ago, Abhishek has helped deliver block liquidity to subscribers in 12 markets. More recently his focus is to unite liquidity sourced from Institutional clients with conditional orders from electronic/sell-side participants for matching that does not require negotiation.
Based in California and with 16+ years’ experience in the financial services post-trade space, Laurence is a Managing Partner at TZero Partner LLC, a post-trade consultancy and also serves as the Americas Regional Director for FIX. Previously Laurence was a director in Post-Trade Strategy at Traiana where he led the design & launch of their payment messaging and matching products, utilizing FIX workflows. Prior to Traiana, Laurence held numerous senior level roles including 6 years at LCH where he helped design and develop the first OTC FX Clearing Service. He also oversaw the expansion of FX operations in North America and then managed the collateral operations team globally, leading a 2-year program to improve the settlement process. Laurence has also worked at JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch and Lloyds Bank within Derivative Operations and Cash Management.
Ms. Janice Kan is Managing Director and Head of Markets, Equities at SGX Group. She oversees SGX Group’s securities trading and post-trade services, as well as cash and equity derivatives products. Prior to assuming this role in July 2019, she was responsible for SGX Group’s derivatives business in futures, swaps and options contracts across asset classes in equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities. She also oversaw market development and strategy for the Greater China region.
Janice began her career with the Singapore International Monetary Exchange (SIMEX) in 1992. SIMEX subsequently merged with the then-Stock Exchange of Singapore in 1999 to form Singapore Exchange. She has held portfolios in market surveillance and audit in SIMEX; risk management, product development and management, as well as strategy planning in the Exchange. In her career, Janice has pioneered the development of SGX Group’s ETF platform, China access products, currency futures and offshore RMB clearing capabilities.
Janice graduated with a Master degree of Applied Finance from Macquarie University in Australia and attended the Stanford Executive Program. She is also a Certified Financial Risk Manager by Global Association of Risk Professionals.
Winnie Khattar is Head of Market Structure for ETF & Index Investing (EII) Markets & Investments in APAC. In her role, Winnie is responsible for providing thought-leadership and content on local ETF market structure and develop the ETF industry in the region, by discussing with regional regulators, exchanges and market participants, advocating industry standards for ETFs and driving sustainable policy reform. Winnie works closely with BlackRock's businesses across Global Public Policy Group, iShares and Index Investments, Fixed Income and Trading Liquidity & Lending to ascertain the full impact of any structural change and guide unified opinion. She also engages with asset management associations and regulators on cross-border trading, marketing and distribution of local ETFs in the region. Winnie is also deeply involved in BlackRock’s local ETF range product quality and secondary trading.
Outside of BlackRock, Winnie is co-chair for FIX Exchanges and Regulatory Subcommittee for Asia and also co-chairs mentorship for Women in Finance Asia (WiFA). Winnie was awarded Trailblazer Award by Markets Media Women in Finance Asia in 2020.
Prior to BlackRock, Winnie worked at BofA Securities, where she conceptualized and launched BofA's Market Structure offering in Asia and spent 10-years at Deutsche Bank in Mumbai, London and Hong Kong prior to that. Winnie graduated in 2007 with Physics degree from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, India. Winnie is a passionate positive person, who enjoys outdoors, trail running, gardening and community initiatives both inside and outside work.
Hanno Klein works as an independent consultant specialised in the standardisation of electronic interfaces and is the founder of FIXdom – “The Wisdom of FIX” in Germany.
Previously, he has worked for more than 20 years at Deutsche Börse Group that provides the technology for Eurex (trading and clearing), its main derivatives exchange and clearinghouse as well as for Xetra, its cash market, and the Regulatory Reporting Hub. He joined the company in 1997 and worked in various positions and projects of strategic and operational nature in Germany and the USA. From 2001 to 2005, he served as Vice President of Deutsche Börse Systems Inc. in Chicago and then until March 2019 as Senior Vice President of Deutsche Börse AG in Germany. One of his main tasks was to drive the transition of member interfaces for Eurex and Xetra to the standard FIX Protocol.
In June 2006, he helped to re-establish the FPL Exchanges/ECN Working Group (EEWG) which was elevated to the FPL Global Exchanges and Markets Committee (GExMC) in September 2007 and co-chaired by him until its transition to the Listed Products & Exchanges Committee end of 2013. He is co-chair of the FPL Global Technical Committee (GTC) for the EMEA region since July 2010 and a member of the FPL Global Steering Committee (GSC).
His primary objective is to enable and promote the harmonised usage of FIX by the financial community, especially by exchanges, clearinghouses and other marketplaces. An increased adoption of FIX by this group of users requires a focus on performance together with true standardisation.
Ian joined Instinet in 2021, establishing the role of Head of Liquidity Strategy, Asia Pacific. He is responsible for the development of Instinet’s liquidity aggregation strategy for the benefit of clients trading in the region, and in particular the evolution of the firm’s non-display trading venues in APAC. Prior to Instinet, he was at HKEX, where he served as a SVP in the Markets Division. Ian previously spent over nine years at London Stock Exchange Group as Head of European Business Development, Turquoise, based in London, and later as Turquoise Head of Asia Business Development, based in Hong Kong.
Ian has an MA from the University of Glasgow, an MSc and LLM from University of London, and is a Member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute.
Mr. Leon Liang is the Director of Business Development for Real Time and Historical Market Data Feeds at ICE Data Service. Leon has over 15-year experience in the Financial Service industry, and he serves as the domain expert across areas of Market Data Feed, Big Data Analytics, Machine Readable News, Financial Trading systems and Enterprise Risk management. Leon also has rich knowledge in the areas of cloud computing and regulatory requirements over adopting cloud solutions.
Leon holds a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and an MBA degree in Finance and Consulting, and he is also a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and a Certified snowboarding instructor by the Canadian Snowboarding Association (CASI). Before joining ICE Data Service, Leon worked as the Head of Solution Consultants in North Asia at Refinitiv.
Sabina heads up APAC business development, leading strategy and sales to grow membership in Asia and to connect trading participants to London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) markets.
Sabina also leads on relationship management for a number of global investment banks for cash secondary markets of London Stock Exchange and Turquoise, a pan-European Multi-lateral Trading Facility with 4,300 securities from 19 European countries and the US.
With the project team, Sabina received the 2019 CEO Award for her outstanding work in Shanghai-London Stock Connect. Sabina is Global Co-Lead of the Group’s Women Inspired Network (WIN), managing 30 chapters around the world and working with senior stakeholders at LSEG and the financial services industry to promote diversity and inclusion.
Prior to joining LSEG in 2010, Sabina was a Project Manager for the University of Oxford. She started her career as a reporter for Phoenix TV in London.
Sabina holds an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Westminster.
Natalie joined State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) in 2018, and is responsible for the execution of their Japanese and Korean books of Equity business, as well as regional listed Futures and Options. She leads the desk’s Algo Wheel development and analysis. Prior to joining SSGA, she was a trader at Robeco in Hong Kong from 2013 to 2018, covering all APAC markets. Natalie started her career in the industry as a management trainee and later worked as an Equity Salestrader at CLSA Limited. Natalie holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester, as well as a Bachelor degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Kevin is a Managing Director, Investments. He serves as the Head of Investment Insights and helps to lead the Executive Management team overseeing the firm's institutional asset management activities. Leveraging his deep industry contacts and over two decades of experience across traditional finance and digital assets, he works closely with the wider investment and technical development teams ensuring uncovered investment strategies are well supported and commercialized. Kevin was formerly the Head of Digital Asset Management and CIO of a two proprietary digital asset hedge funds since late 2017. He has over 5 years experience within the digital asset space, including being an early investor in Bitcoin since 2016.
He has an established institutional Fixed Income track record of advising institutional clients, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, corporates and private bank asset allocator advisors. He has worked with the most internationally recognized asset management companies, including PIMCO, Fidelity International, BNP Paribas across London and Hong Kong. He has experience of asset allocation, debt capital markets, including Global Bonds, EM Debt and Asia Credit, FX markets and Venture Capital.
Previously, he has been a mentor to the Cyberport Incubator Fund, helping start-ups with strategic and technology advisory. He has made various partner investments across blockchain, digital assets, e-Sports, FinTech, Fitness and Wellness and Technical Education among various other early-stage projects.
As Head of East Asia Strategy, Jason leads our equity and rates strategists in Hong Kong and Tokyo to develop cross-asset themes and trade ideas. He is responsible for leveraging our strong domestic expertise in the East Asian markets to better serve our regional and global client base. Jason works closely with sales captains across asset classes to promote global content from Markets 360 economists & strategists to our Asia Pacific client base.
In addition to his role as Head of East Asia Strategy, Jason also serves as Head of Global Equities for Markets 360 APAC, leading his team to generate trade ideas, thematic views, and bespoke analyses for the APAC equity markets. He is actively involved in developing the equity derivatives market with major Asian exchanges by participating in exchange-hosted industry working groups and conference panel discussions.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas in August 2017, Jason spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs as the APAC Equity Derivative Strategist, Growth Market Equity Strategist, and US Option Strategist in Hong Kong and New York.
Jason is a CFA charterholder and graduated from Cornell University with a double major in Operations Research (Honors) and Computer Science.
Edward Mangles has helped support The FIX Trading Community’s Asia Pacific committee for over 20 years, playing a key role in promoting institutional trading standards and FIX adoption across the region, and facilitating cross-industry collaboration. In March 2009, Edward was appointed Asia Pacific Regional Director for the FIX Trading Community, and works closely with the buyside, sellside, regulator, exchange and technology provider members of the institutional trading community to support efficient trading.
Jean-François is Head of ETF Capital Markets, Asia Pacific at State Street Global Advisors. Based in Hong Kong, he oversees the secondary and primary market activity of SPDR ETFs in the Asia Pacific region with the purpose of improving user experience whilst trading SPDR ETFs. In this role, Jean-François also provides thought leadership and engages with the industry on ETF trading and liquidity topics.
Prior to joining State Street Global Advisors, Jean-François worked at Deutsche Asset Management in London. As an ETF Capital Markets Specialist, he was providing ETF trading and execution intelligence to a broad client base across Europe, South America and Asia Pacific and managing relationship with exchanges and market maker trading desks with responsibility for France and Romandy.
Jean-François holds a MSc in International Finance from HEC Paris and a MSc in Engineering from Ecole Centrale De Lille.
Ankit is Vice President, Trading Product Marketing in the Aladdin Business of BlackRock. In his role, Ankit is responsible for driving the growth of Aladdin trading product in APAC region by driving product engagement, user education and feature adoption across the Aladdin community. Prior to joining BlackRock, Ankit was Business Change Manager for Global Trading at Schroders and worked closely with global trading desks to drive change initiatives and product management in the multi-asset trading space. Previously, Ankit has worked with Credit Suisse on the sell side and with BlackRock (in India) as a software engineer within Aladdin Product Group.
Ankit is currently Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Technical Subcommittee of FIX Trading Community, responsible for providing technical guidance and advisory to the FIX Trading Community members in the APAC region.
Ankit holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering and has completed his MBA from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Kerry has been trading derivatives since 1998. As a founding member of DCA, Kerry came with a broad skill set. In addition to the requisite finance and business qualifications, he has a background in electrical engineering, telecommunications and IT systems. Kerry’s unique understanding of trading and technology has been able to architect infrastructure to use public clouds to include Azure, AWS and IBM Cloud. In addition, Kerry holds RG146, National Commodities Futures Examination qualifications.
Marie leads and executes Symphony's strategy in APAC across revenue generation, brand awareness, locations strategy and product development.
Prior to Symphony Marie was Chief Operating Officer at OpenDoor Securities following her tenure there as Chief Administrative Officer and Co- Head of Sales.
Before OpenDoor, Marie spent more than 40 years at the Interdealer Broker, ICAP where she held various senior and international positions. Marie was an early adopter of technology as a facilitator of efficiency and accuracy in the transaction lifecycle.
Emma Quinn (she/her) was appointed Global Co-Head of Equity Trading in 2014. Previously, she served as head of Asia-Pacific Trading, head of Asia-Pacific Fixed Income and Australia Equities Trading, and head of Trading for Australia and New Zealand. Quinn joined the firm in 2001 as a senior trader. Prior to that, she worked as an equity trader at AMP Henderson Global Investors. Quinn holds a BBus in finance and business law from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is currently a Director of AllianceBernstein Australia Limited, AllianceBernstein Investment Management Australia Limited and chair of the board of FIX Protocol Limited; a member of the Consultative Advisory Panel for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission; a member of Asia TraderForum; and a member of various Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association committees. Quinn performed a key role in establishing AllianceBernstein’s founding membership of Sustainable Trading. Quinn was also co-chair of the Asia Pacific Regional Committee of the FIX Trading Community from 2012 to 2016. Location: Sydney
As Managing Director and Co-Head of Sales & Marketing for Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, Kevin is principally responsible for global relationship management, marketing and market development.
Kevin joined HKEX in April 2015 from Citigroup, where he served as Head of Wholesale Execution Services, Asia and was Chief Spokesman on the implementation of Stock Connect in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he was based in London for Citigroup as the Global Head of Market Infrastructures and HFT Clearing Group.
Prior to joining Citigroup, Kevin spent 10 years at Thomson Reuters. He held various positions in Thomson Reuters, including Regional Manager Hong Kong, Regional Director Japan and Korea, Managing Director Asia in Singapore and Managing Director - Global Head of Relationship Management and Sales in London for Omgeo (DTCC) division.
Kevin holds a Bsc (Hons) Environmental Chemistry from the University of Hertfordshire.
Brian is Managing Director, Co-head of Equities Product Development. In this capacity, Brian oversees the development and management of HKEX’s equities products, focusing on market development, client engagement and investor education.
Brian joined in 2015 bringing over 10 years of ETF development and leadership experience to HKEX. Prior to HKEX, Brian was at Vanguard, where he was most recently Head of ETF Product Development Asia, focusing on developing their global ETF business.
Brian holds an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
David is the Chief Operating Officer at Auros, a major crypto HFT and market making firm. He is responsible for the operational running of the company, facilitating its strategic direction, building culture and communication, and managing non-commercial, external relationships such as exchanges and lenders. Based in Asia for 15 years, he started his career at Goldman Sachs in London. He has gone on to build and lead some of the largest buy and sell side institutional trading desks globally, including UBS’s Asia-Pacific Portfolio Trading business, and SSGA’s multi-asset trading platform in Hong Kong. Educated in the UK, he holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Automotive Design.
Daniel has over 20 years of experience, working in the financial technology sector. He is passionate about applying technologies in the financial industry. He has worked in different areas in the financial industry, from retail banking to equity trading. Recently, he has founded a FinTech consultancy business and has helped develop business strategies for FinTech firms and financial institutions alike. Before starting his business, he has helped develop products and create business strategies in Asia for companies like ICE Data Services, FlexTrade, Bloomberg and Fidessa. He is also the co-chair of the FIX Asia Pacific Emerging Technology and Innovation Working Group. He has made contributions to the China Connect Best Practices guide and is currently focusing on Cryptocurrency, Cloud computing and Continuous workflow automation.
Ms. Sin is a Senior ETF Analyst at Bloomberg. In this role she writes research, articles, and featured stories about ETFs for the Bloomberg terminal and Bloomberg.com. She recently won the Bloomberg Intelligence 2021 4Q Franchise of the Quarter Award for her ETF research.
Ms. Sin has a wealth of experience. She was previously the Head of Equities, Asia Pacific at Tradeweb and Head of Commerzbank ETF Sales and Trading for Asia Pacific. She was responsible for ETFs, equity futures/options and convertible bonds. She enjoys educating clients with respect to the entire Equities spectrum ranging from executions to driving the growth of the business.
Ms. Sin’s career has been spent in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and she has experience working as a portfolio manager, market maker and synthetic equity trader. She has worked for numerous banks including Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital and Commerzbank.
Ms. Sin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. She recently won Best in Fintech Award by Women in Finance Asia and Women in ETF Award. She is the co-chair of Asia’ Women in Exchange Traded Funds (WE), co-chair of Women in Finance Asia’ Mentor Mentee Program (WiFA), on the board of directors for Young Investor Society (YIS) and Women in Finance and Investment Networks. She is passionate about gender diversity and equality. In her spare time, she enjoys playing football and cooking as she is a certified cuisine and pastry chef from Alain Ducasse's Culinary School in Paris.
Stuart has been at Liquidnet 9 years and moved from London to Hong Kong in 2015 to build out the APAC Execution and Quant business which now has trading desks across the region in HK, Tokyo, Sydney and Singapore. He is responsible for the low/high touch trading, client coverage and oversight of the product development for the electronic trading platform.
Prior to Liquidnet Stuart held positions at Citadel Securities where he worked as a risk trader across multiple High Frequency/Quant strategies, and Bloomberg Tradebook as an electronic sales trader.
Vince Turcotte is the Director of Digital Assets for the Asia Pacific region at Eventus with more than two decades of experience at exchanges, broker-dealers and futures commission merchants (FCMs). Operating out of Hong Kong, he is building on the firm’s regional presence, expanding the client base in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia and Singapore. He previously served for four years as Director, Asia Pacific, for Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and before that as Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Head of Futures & Options for Nomura International, beginning in 2011.
From 1995 to 2011, Turcotte held senior production and sales management positions at Newedge Group as well as global banks UBS and JPMorgan Chase in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. He previously held Vice President and Director roles at several brokerage firms after starting his career as a booth clerk and runner on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading floor.
Turcotte earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, graduating Cum Laude.
Simon is the APAC Head of Global Liquidity Solutions at J.P. Morgan based in Hong Kong. Having joined J.P Morgan in 2019, Simon has helped lead the firm’s growth across the APAC equity franchise, focusing on Electronic Trading and Liquidity access.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Simon was Managing Director, Head of Sales at ITG Hong Kong. Having joined ITG in London in 2005, he began his career in Portfolio Trading before relocating to Hong Kong in 2008.
Simon is the APAC Head of Equity Trading within BlackRock’s Trading and Liquidity Strategies Group.
Simon’s service with the firm dates back to 2002, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he had responsibility for implementing trading strategies for all of BGI Europe’s index and transition management products. Prior to BGI, Simon worked as a member of the equity portfolio trading desk at CLSA.
Simon has earned a BSc Hons degree in geological sciences from Durham University in 1995.
Clare Witts is currently APAC Co-Chair of the FIX Trading Community, having actively supported the organization for many years across different working groups and sub-committees. She is Head of APAC Market Structure at Credit Suisse, working with clients and across the bank’s equity trading desks. Her role includes assessing the impact of regulatory and policy trends and analysing how that affects the microstructure of the equity markets and improving trading outcomes. Clare has worked in Asia for over 15 years in a variety of roles that help combine big picture trends with actionable trading insights. As well as over 10 years at a leading trading and technology firm, she has worked in cross-industry functions as the Asia Chair for Quorum 15, the think tank for buy and sellside heads of trading; and as Director of Government and Regulator Relations at CFA Institute representing key topics for the investment management industry to regional policymakers.
