Mark leads the team responsible for driving ASIC’s economic and risk analysis unit, as well as leading ASIC's Innovation Hub and regtech initiatives. Mark has held a range of senior executive positions at ASIC including lead of ASIC's competition in equity markets project and the Exchange Market Operators, Regulatory Policy and International teams.
Between 2012 to 2014, Mark held secondments as Principal Adviser, Financial System Inquiry Secretariat and Director, Strategy, Research and Risk, Ontario Securities Commission. Prior to joining ASIC, Mark worked in the corporate and superannuation areas of a national law firm.
Rehan is the Head of FI Products & Digital Assets, overseeing fixed income product development and SGX’s digital asset issuance platform. Within this role, his key focus areas are e-commerce, market structure, platform development and digitalization of traditional capital markets products.
Rehan began his career at Bear Stearns (London) fixed income trading desk in 2005 and subsequently held positions within credit structuring & trading (UBS AG, London) and portfolio management at CDC Group UK, an EM focused private equity fund.
He has been based in Asia since 2010, where he joined Bloomberg L.P.’s FICC trading team and oversaw a number of regional market trading initiatives such as the launch of Pakistan’s first online debt auction system and Sri Lanka’s interdealer debt trading platform. He joined SGX from IDFC Securities (Singapore) where he was responsible for overseeing India access products for global investors.
While at SGX, he has been involved in new platforms such as SGX’s institutional bond trading platform (2016) and led SGX’s General Counterparty service (2018) rollout before turning his focus to asset digitalization with SGX’s fixed income digital issuance platform. He has also represented SGX on industry bodies such as ICMA, FIX Trading Community and Singapore National Markets Practice Group (NMPG).
Rehan attended Ecole Sciences-Po (Paris) before attaining his Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University and subsequently a Masters in Science from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE).
Calissa leads ASIC’s Market Supervision team, responsible for the real-time monitoring of trading activities across Australia’s equities, futures and OTC markets. She is also responsible for overseeing market intermediaries’ compliance, and for monitoring the distribution of complex products.
Calissa has held senior leadership roles in ASIC’s Market Supervision and Market Infrastructure since 2009. Before joining ASIC, she held roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland in London, the UK Financial Services Authority, Markit and the Australian Treasury.
Vaisshali Babu is the Associate Director with BNP Paribas India currently heading the product, relationship management and market intelligence desk for securities services business. She has been part of BNP Paribas since 2009. She is one of the instrumental persons in setting up the securities services business in India for BNP Paribas. Vaisshali has overall experience of more than 25 years in capital market.
Vaisshali is active member of various industry groups and working closely with Indian regulators on the topics of development of Indian capital market. She is currently appointed as member of NCL Advisory Committee and is also part of ASIFMA India Leadership forum. She is speaker on leading industry events to engage on directional discussions on capital market. Vaisshali is elected as Convenor for India SWIFT SMPG wherein she represents India at Global SWIFT forum by coordinating all the custodians & brokers in India. Vaisshali has been listed in India’s Top 100 Women in Finance awards by AIWMI.
Vaisshali holds master’s degree in commerce from Mumbai University with business administration qualification from Symbiosis, Pune having specialization in Finance. She has completed executive programme in strategic marketing & sales management from IIM, Rohtak and Company Director’s – best practices from IIM, Bangalore.
Vaisshali is very active in CSR initiatives and strongly supports the cause of ‘children education’. She is elected in the BNP Paribas India CSR committee.
Damian Bierman is Head of Trading Solutions in Asia-Pacific for FactSet. He is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and managing buyside & sellside relationships across the region. Damian joined FactSet through its acquisition of Portware in 2015. Damian joined Portware in 2007, opening the firm's office in Hong Kong and establishing its presence in the region.
Damian is an active member of the FIX Trading Community, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Education and Marketing Subcommittee. He has been a mainstay of the organization's Asia-Pacific presence for the past 16 years, playing an active role in promoting the adoption of FIX across the region.
Prior to Portware, Damian ran FIX Services in APAC for NYFIX, setting up its Hong Kong office in 2004. Damian joined Javelin Technologies in New York in 2000, implementing its Appia FIX engine technology at numerous buy- and sell-side institutions globally.
Previously, Damian held a research position at Carnegie Mellon Research Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, working on the DOT-funded Driver Drowsiness Detection & Countermeasures study, as well as a study of expert landmine detection skill for the US Army.
Damian received his B.S. in Cognitive Science from Carnegie Mellon University in May 1997.
Winter is currently the Head of Trading Technology APAC and has been working in JP Morgan Asset management since 2006 in a variety roles across the equities technology organization. In his current role he faces off to the head of Asia trading and other senior equities stakeholders driving both regional and global technology initiatives within the trading space.
Most recently Winter has been leading efforts on delivery of technology solutions in support of the transformation of the regional trading function and designing a solution to support on-shore Trading in China.
Winter participates in industry forums and events actively that contributes to the IOIs standardization. He is also a Co-Chair of the FIX technical subcommittee in Asia. In such capacity, he is currently working on an update to the guide to cover the Master SPSA initiative.
Winter holds a BSc in Computer Science and Information Systems and a MPhil in Computer Information Systems from the University of Hong Kong.
Chapman is currently working in Invesco Hong Kong and leading the APAC Investment Technology team since 2017. In the current role, he faces off with the APAC head traders, investment managers, and other senior business partners to drive both regional and global solutions from technology perspective. The technical capabilities covering portfolio management, trading and settlement for multi-asset classes. He is recently participating on a global investment transformation project and is leading the APAC downstream applications analysis and architecture design.
With 10+ years of experience in investment technology, prior to joining Invesco, Chapman had worked for Manulife Asset Management and J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and he focused on the global investment management system and trading technology respectively.
Ben Dunn is the Chief Investment Officer for the Quantitative Strategies team at Eastspring Investments based in Singapore. The team manages over $3b USD across several Global and Asian strategies, including Eastspring’s Low Volatility and Multi Factor equity strategies. He has been at Eastspring since 2014 and prior to that had held various quantitative portfolio management, research, trading and technology roles within Australia and Japan. Ben is a CFA charterholder and holds a Bachelors degree in Information Technology.
Alistair is Head of APAC for the SIX Digital Exchange (SDX). SDX is building a fully integrated issuance, trading and custody infrastructure for digital assets bringing security and reliability to the financial ecosystem of tomorrow. Alistair has over 25 years financial and technology experience, working at banks, start up's and technology firms in Hong Kong, New York, Sydney, London and Singapore where he is now based.
Previous to SDX, Alistair's roles included Co-founder and Head of APAC for DrumG Technologies, Head of Singapore for R3, Head of FICC Electronic Distribution APAC for Barclays and Head of Bloomberg Tradebook NJA.
Niamh Golden heads the Virtu Analytics group in Asia Pacific which supports Virtu’s multi-asset product suite including pre-trade, real-time and post-trade analytics. Niamh has been with Virtu (previously ITG) for the past nine years and previously held roles managing the Analytics Client Services team in London and looking after the FX TCA product for the European client base.
Niamh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from University College London.

Jay Hurley is the regional head of eFX, APAC for State Street since joining the firm in 2016. Prior to this, he spent five years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong and eight years at Morgan Stanley in both London and Hong Kong in eFX trading. He has spent his 22-year financial services career in electronic trading, starting in equities at Morgan Stanley and UBS. Jay is a 15-year veteran of the FIX community: he has co-chaired the FX Technical Subcommittee, the FX Committee, and was elected to co-chair the FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities) Committee in 2014 and is an active member of the Asia Pacific Steering Committee. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Edinburgh.
Mr. Irokawa joined Chi-X Japan in 2009 at its start-up, and focused on the firm’s regulatory license process and various business development matters. Having left the firm in 2012, he came back in April 2017 as its Head. About five years while absent from Chi-X, Mr. Irokawa was the President of Rakuten Investment Management. Before Chi-X and Rakuten, he was the Head of Asset Management Group at Shinsei Bank to oversee the Bank’s asset management business, as well as to be responsible for asset management-related subsidiaries in Japan and overseas. Before joining Shinsei in 2002, he worked for Nomura’s subsidiary in New York as a portfolio manager of funds of funds.

Laurence Jones is Director, Post-Trade Strategy, Traiana, part of the CME Group.
With 15 years of experience in Post-Trade, Laurence is responsible for the design and development of new products and services within Traianas product strategy division. Laurence has ownership of Payment and Settlement Optimization, Average Pricing and FX Prime Brokerage Trade Processing. Laurence holds several industry leadership roles within the FIX Trading Community, acting as a board member for the Americas Governance Committee & Co-Chair for the Global Post Trade Working Group.
Laurence Joined Traiana in 2018 after working for CloudMargin, working in a Business Development role and helping to lead several firm-wide initiatives in OTC clearing in North America. Prior to this he worked at LCH for 6 years, starting in London working to design and develop the first OTC FX Clearing Service in 2012, ForexClear. Laurence then helped to expand the FX Operations into North America, and then led the Collateral Operations team globally, where he led a 2-year program to improve the cash settlement process. Prior to this, Laurence worked at both Merrill Lynch and Lloyds on process efficiency programs across FX and Rates, and also worked at JPMorgan for 4 years across OTC Derivative Operations and Cash Management.
Jyo is part of CLSA’s APAC Electronic Equity Trading desk covering all APAC markets; he is based in Singapore.
Christopher Jung is a Managing Director and Head of Asian Outsourced Trading. Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Jung was Head of trading at Makto Capital. Mr. Jung also held Senior Sales trading roles at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Nomura and BNP in addition to others over the last 23 years.
Mr. Jung graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles California and received a Master’s in Business Administration from Boston University.
Praveen is part of the team that is overseeing the operationalization of the International Bullion Exchange at the International Financial Services Centre at GIFT City, Gujarat. He is also in charge of the Fintech and Cybersecurity vertical and is overseeing the rollout of IFSCA’s Regulatory Sandbox.
Prior to joining IFSCA, Praveen was with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for 12 years. During his stint with SEBI, he was engaged in Integrated Surveillance, Foreign Portfolio Investments in the Government and Corporate debt markets in India, Cybersecurity policy for Critical Infrastructure Institutions and SEBI’s Fintech vertical. He was part of the core Business Analytics Group that successfully implemented SEBI’s Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence System (DWBIS).

Hanno Klein works as an independent consultant specialised in the standardisation of electronic interfaces and is the founder of FIXdom – The Wisdom of FIX in Germany (April 2019).
Previously, he has worked for more than 20 years at Deutsche Börse Group that provides the technology for Eurex (trading and clearing), its main derivatives exchange and clearinghouse as well as for Xetra, its cash market, and the Regulatory Reporting Hub. He joined the company in 1997 and worked in various positions and projects of strategic and operational nature in Germany and the USA. From 2001 to 2005, he served as Vice President of Deutsche Börse Systems Inc. in Chicago and then until March 2019 as Senior Vice President of Deutsche Börse AG in Germany.
In June 2006, he helped to re-establish the FPL Exchanges/ECN Working Group (EEWG) which was elevated to the FPL Global Exchanges and Markets Committee (GExMC) in September 2007 and co-chaired by him until its transition to the Listed Products & Exchanges Committee end of 2013. He is co-chair of the FPL Global Technical Committee (GTC) for the EMEA region since July 2010 and a member of the FPL Global Steering Committee (GSC).
His primary objective is to enable and promote the harmonised usage of FIX by the financial community, especially by exchanges, clearinghouses and other marketplaces. An increased adoption of FIX by this group of users requires a focus on performance together with true standardisation.
Stuart is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for Instinet Pacific. Stuart's role is to run the Asian business for Instinet, with management oversight of their offices and exchange memberships in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. Instinet is a broker dealer with emphasis on technology to achieve the best outcome for our agency client base. Prior to this role Stuart spent 6 years as as Chief Operating Officer for the region and before that he set-up and ran Insitnet's Australian office.

Krishnavenee is the Head of Strategic Innovation and Development at Bursa Malaysia. Prior to that she was the Chief Operating Officer of Bright Vision Consulting and she had also worked in management consulting, private equity and payments. She also have had roles in the public sector. A Harvard University graduate with a Masters in Public Policy, she is also a co-founder of a startup, an Executive Committee member of the Harvard Club of Malaysia and a Board member of a NGO.
Ferris is currently the Head of Trading Technology at GIC. He responsible for overseeing and leading technology solutions globally for trading, trading analytics, securities financing, treasury, as well as portfolio management of index strategies. Previously, he spent 15 years at BofA Merrill Lynch, most recently as a technology manager in the Electronic Trading space.
Mr. KC Lam joined SGX in October 2013. He has overall responsibility for the FX and Interest rates derivatives business in SGX. He is responsible for rolling out new innovative FX and Rates products, driving product adoption globally, diversifying SGX’s customer base and promoting OTC FX Clearing solutions.
Mr. Lam joined SGX from CME Group, where he was Executive Director heading the FX / OTC Business Line Management in Asia. Prior to CME Group, Mr Lam was Head of Sales for EBS Asia (ICAP E-Broking, now known as NEX group), where he led the firm’s new and existing product sales efforts throughout the Asia Pacific.
Mr. Lam also previously held regional leadership positions with Siebel Systems and Commerce One, as well as consulting roles with Oracle Corporation and Booz-Allen & Hamilton.
Mr. Lam holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Singapore and an MBA degree.
Buck Lau is with the Equity Dealing Team for Eastspring Investments based in Singapore. He has over 12 years of trading experience with the firm, having traded mostly APAC. Buck began his career in Hong Kong twenty years ago in Operations and Middle Office roles before relocating to Singapore in 2008. Buck holds a Bachelors degree in Banking & Finance at Curtin University and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Monash University.

Prior to joining BSO, Lempriere was Global Head of the Financial Services vertical at Telstra and the Head of BT Radianz Asia Pacific.
Sabina heads up APAC business development, leading on strategy and sales to grow membership in Asia and to connect trading participants to the UK and European markets. Sabina is one of the key members of the Shanghai-London Stock Connect project.
Sabina also leads on relationship management of a number of global investment bank accounts for cash secondary markets of London Stock Exchange and Turquoise, a Pan European multi-lateral trading facility with 4,500 securities from 19 European countries.
With the project team, Sabina received the London Stock Exchange Group 2019 CEO Award for her work in Shanghai-London Stock Connect. She was nominated by the Group for the Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2015, and is currently Co-Chair of the Group’s Women Inspired Network (WIN) in the UK.
Prior to joining the London Stock Exchange Group in 2010, Sabina was a Project Manager for the University of Oxford managing and delivering two key projects - Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women and Oxford China Business Forum.
Sabina started her career as a news anchor and foreign correspondent for Phoenix TV in London. She covered UK and European news for Chinese audience globally.
Sabina holds an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Westminster. Between 2008 and 2015, she ran the Oxford Business Alumni London Chapter with 2,000 members.
Natalie joined State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) in 2018, and is responsible for the execution of their Japanese and Korean books of Equity business, as well as regional listed Futures and Options. She leads the desk’s Algo Wheel development and analysis. Prior to joining SSGA, she was a trader at Robeco in Hong Kong from 2013 to 2018, covering all APAC markets. Natalie started her career in the industry as a management trainee and later worked as an Equity Salestrader at CLSA Limited. Natalie holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester, as well as a Bachelor degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Jacqueline Loh PhD, leads the trading team at AIA Investment Management. In her previous role as Head of Trading- Asia at Schroders Management Investment Singapore, she was a proponent of the use of electronic trading across all asset classes to increase efficiency and transparency.
Jacqueline started off her career as a derivatives analyst at an investment bank in London, then spent most of her working life in Singapore. Over the course of her career, Jacqueline has represented asset managers on several industry forums including IMAS ( Investment Management Association of Singapore) on the Singapore Financial Markets Benchmark setting Steering Committee, and IMAS representation on the Blue Book Consultation for FX Trading.
Her interests include derivatives, quantitative analytics of market trends, big data and artificial intelligence.
Jacqueline graduated with a BSc Immunology, London and MBA Finance from City University Business School, London. Her subsequent PhD in Econometrics and Business Statistics from Monash University, Australia led to her current interest in deciphering the art and science of trading.

Edward Mangles has helped support The FIX Trading Community’s Asia Pacific committee for the past 19 years, playing a key role in promoting institutional trading standards and FIX adoption across the region, and facilitating cross-industry collaboration. In March 2009, Edward was appointed Asia Pacific Regional Director for the FIX Trading Community, and works closely with the buyside, sellside, regulator, exchange and technology provider members of the institutional trading community to support efficient trading.
With 30-year industry experience in marketing financial information and electronic transaction products. Serves as Co-Chair of the Japan regional committee of FIX Trading Community since 2007 and has taken the industrial thought leadership role. Before joining Fidessa (now in ION Group), held the position with TradingScreen, and had worked for Reuters for 17 years holding various product marketing positions both in Japan and overseas (UK and US). Joined Reuters London as a graduate management trainee from Reuters Asia in 1987.
Ankit is Business Change Manager for Global Trading at Schroders and is currently based in Singapore. In his role at Schroders, Ankit works with Global Heads of Trading (across all asset classes) and is responsible for driving positive change and product management in trading space to achieve execution and cost efficiencies as well as mitigate trading risk by running projects focussing on workflow automation, increased multi-asset electronic execution, building in-house liquidity eco-system for Portfolio Managers/Traders, etc.
Most recently, Ankit has been elected to be the Co-Chair of the FIX technical subcommittee in Asia. In such capacity, he is responsible for providing technical guidance and advisory to the FIX Trading Community members in the region.
Prior to joining Schroders, Ankit has worked with Credit Suisse as FIX Onboarding Engineer and electronic trading expert catering to APAC execution services business and as Electronic Trading Analyst with BlackRock on their Aladdin platform.
Ankit is a subject matter expert on trading workflow and trading technologies and has strong technical background on FIX Protocol, Algorithmic and Low-Latency Trading.
Ankit holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering and has completed his MBA from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Mr. Mohr spent the first two decades of his career in Tokyo working as a quantitative analyst and equity market strategist for Merrill Lynch Japan, Mizuho and Citigroup Japan. In 2011 he moved to Hong Kong and shifted his research focus to trading. At Instinet, Mr. Mohr has spearheaded big data and machine learning efforts to transform Instinet’s TCA offering from a “trade reporting” function to a “strategic consulting” process. Mr. Mohr’s primary interests lie in the application of data science principles to help clients discern signal from noise in their trading decisions. He regularly publishes reports concerning APAC microstructure topics and trading conditions in global markets. In addition to Execution Consulting role, Mohr also heads the index research team for Instinet in APAC.
Jean Morice is the Head of Regional Product Experts and Pre Sales at Itiviti. In this role, he leads Itiviti’s strategic product development initiatives for the region and manages a team of Product Experts and Pre Sales. Jean has worked with Itiviti since 2004 mostly in APAC and filled various management positions in Software Development, Pre Sales and Customer and Professional Services. Prior to that, Jean started his career as a front office developer at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking. He has over 15 years of experience managing and deploying regional strategic projects and possesses in-depth technical and functional knowledge of the buy-side and sell-side products. He holds an Engineering degree with a Computer Science major from Ecole Centrale de Nantes in France.
In June 2020, Jessica joined global financial technology firm, Virtu Financial APAC, currently under transition following the 2019 acquisition of ITG. Virtu uses advanced technology and transparency to deliver liquidity to the global capital markets and help clients pursue best execution in a scalable, efficient and data-driven manner.
Jessica offers an extensive background in APAC market structure, having moved to Hong Kong in 2011. She is an active participant in several industry initiatives around the development of the A Share Market Structure in China through Hong Kong Stock Connect, IOI and FIX protocols, and Electronic Trading guidelines. While running Virtu’s APAC Execution Services team on a day-to-day basis, Jessica continues to track developments and publish market structure content with regards to both macro market structure such as regulation, technology and explicit costs, and their impact on the micro structure liquidity indicators such as volume, volatility and implicit costs in the region.
Prior to Virtu, Jessica held the position of Head of Execution Services Sales for Asia at the Institutional Equities Division of Morgan Stanley from 2017-2020, having originally worked in their London Compliance team from 2006-2009. Between those dates, Jessica worked for Deutsche Bank initially in an Equities Compliance role before transitioning to and establishing the APAC Market Structure and Commission Management team in Hong Kong in 2011.

Kerry commenced in the derivatives industry in 1998. As a founding member of DCA, Kerry came with a broad skill set. In addition to the requisite finance and business qualifications, he had a background in electrical engineering, telecommunications and IT systems. With a distinctive understanding of trading and over 20 years’ experience, he has ensured DCA functions with advanced technology to meet multi-jurisdictional IT and trading compliance requirements.
In addition, Kerry holds RG146, National Commodities Futures Examination qualifications and AWS certification. He is on the Supervisory Board of DCA Global Derivatives Management AS Estonia. Recently he joined the FIX Orchestra sub working group.
In 2019 he was a winner of the Symphony Chat Innovation award for project Kairos for chat bot automation.
In 2020 Kerry obtained certification for CME Direct Order Entry API for Kairos Theatron to take DCA to the next level.
Jim Northey currently serves as a director of FIX Protocol Ltd. and the Chair of ISO TC68, the ISO Technical Committee for Financial Services. Jim served as the Global Technical Committee Co-Chair for the Americas until his election as an FPL director and the interim chair of the US Technical Advisory Group for ISO TC322 Sustainable Finance. Jim is a past member of the US Treasury Office of Financial Research Financial Research Advisory Committee and the US CFTC Technology Advisory Committee Subcommittee on High Frequency Trading. Jim previously served in the roles of FIX Americas Region Co-Chair and the Co-Chair of the FIX Global Derivatives Committee. Jim was awarded the FIA Annual Achievement award in 2006 as part of the team that created FIXML for listed derivatives clearing standardization.
Jim was a Senior Vice President of Strategic Research focusing on Protocol Engineering and Standards at Itiviti Group AB, following acquisition of The LaSalle Technology Group, LLC in 2015, which he co-founded in 2006.
Jim holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Indianapolis and an M.S. in Financial Markets and Trading from Illinois Institute of Technology. Jim is an adjunct instructor of Finance at Michigan Technological University where he teaches courses on Derivatives and Financial Engineering and Financial Technology. Jim serves on the board of the Keweenaw Financial Corporation in Michigan and is the US Director and CIO for V2G Limited based in Camelford, UK.
As Head of Institutional Sales at Chi-X Australia, Murrough is responsible for growing the institutional footprint of the firm’s Australian operation as well as managing existing Institutional and market making participants. Chi-X Australia is a cutting edge securities and derivatives exchange, which has transformed the Australian investment market through a focus on customers, innovation and value.
Murrough has worked in the industry for over 20 years in New York, London and Sydney and has a broad depth of experience in electronic trading, market micro-structure, algorithmic trading and technological innovation within equities markets. Prior to Chi-X, he ran Liquidnet Australia, was Head of TradingScreen Australia & New Zealand and before that Head of Electronic Execution for Australia and NZ at Citigroup where he helped steer the franchise through the market integrity rule changes that allowed multiple markets in Australia.
Andrew has had 26 years’ experience in the futures industry and more recently in fintech and FX prime broking. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of GSX Asia and is based in Singapore. GSX Labuan has been granted a conditional licence to operate an exchange listing regulated digital securities by the Labuan Financial Services Authority.
His experience is grounded in various management, sales and technology roles at UBS over a 20 year period in Singapore and Sydney, including that of CEO UBS Futures Singapore.

Vishtaspa Rana has been at Tata Asset Management for the past 16 years. As part of the Trading desk he is been managing dealing in Indian Equity cash market, Derivatives, Arbitrage, AIF(Long/Short) Fund, ETF’s as well as Electronic trading.
He obtained his graduate diploma in Business Administration from S.I.E.S College of Management, and Bachelor Degree in Commerce from University of Mumbai.
Lou Rosato, Director, is a member of BlackRock's Global Investment Operations Leadership. He oversees Industry Engagement and Strategy in partnership with Blackrock’s Counterparties, Custodians, Third-Party Providers, Industry Organizations, Utilities and Clients. Lou works closely with BlackRock’s leadership and professionals to innovate, conceptualize, design and execute Investment Operations and enterprise operating model and Aladdin platform strategies and vision. He’s responsible for aligning external partners to advance change and drive industry leading innovations and best practice for the benefit of BlackRock’s Clients and Stakeholders.
Before taking on his current role, Mr. Rosato lead the Global Trade Operations Teams in the US and EMEA. In previous roles at BlackRock he was regional Head of Fixed Income, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Equity Trade Operations, as well Co-Head of the firms Retail Separately Managed Account Operation and served previously on the firms Trading and Product Resource Oversight Committees.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2004, Mr. Rosato was with Jennison Associates, LLC where he was responsible for establishing and managing the firms Retail SMA Trading and Operations Teams. He performed similar roles for 1838 Investment Advisors and Rittenhouse Financial Services. He began his career in 1987 as an Operations Analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and worked for Dean Witter in Equity Specialist and FX Broker exchange floor operations roles on the PHLX.
Mr. Rosato is a Member and previous Chairperson of the Investment Company Institute Securities Operations Advisory Committee. He is a Member of the SIFMA Operations and Technology and AMG Executive and Steering Committees, and active participant, Committee Member and Co-Chair of several SIFMA AMG, ISITC, SWIFT, FIA and FIX Trading Community and Industry Working Groups. He is a current Board Member of ISITC, and previously represented BlackRock on the OMGEO Regional Advisory Council in the Americas and Co-Chairperson of the Industry Working Group formed by DTCC, ICI, SIFMA, and Industry Participants to analyze and plan for T2 Settlement Compression in the US. He earned a BS degree in Business Administration from Widener University.
Travis Schwab is CEO of Austin-based Eventus Systems, Inc., a multi-award-winning global provider of trade surveillance and market risk solutions for financial institutions. For over 25 years, Travis has served in chief executive, compliance, sales and financial technology roles across the front, middle and back offices at a diverse set of organizations. Before founding Eventus, Travis was the CEO and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of RGM Securities, the broker-dealer subsidiary of one of the largest proprietary trading firms in the U.S. before its 2017 acquisition by DRW. Before RGM, he was Managing Director of Global Buyside Sales and CCO at Trading Technologies. Previously, Travis was Co-Head of North American eBrokerage Sales at Calyon Financial (currently Societe Generale). Earlier in his career, Travis had management roles at NYFIX, Inc. (currently Itiviti) and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (now CME Group). He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Loyola University in Chicago.
Manu Sharma is the Trading Solutions Head of APAC Sales at FactSet. He is responsible for growing the Electronic Trading franchise for FactSet throughout the region. Manu comes to the role with 12 years industry experience promoting best practices of multi-asset electronic trading for Bloomberg. During his tenure, Manu successfully advanced the electronification of complex trading workflows across numerous markets in the region, capturing market share for their multi-asset class trading solutions. Outside work, he has a keen interest in machine learning and its applications to mainstream finance. Manu holds a Master of Science degree in Global Finance from New York University.
Daniel Shek is the business development director for the Feeds and Connectivity at ICE Data Services. He has over 20 years working experience in the financial services industry. He is passionate about applying technologies to streamline the operations of the financial markets. He has worked in different areas of technology in the financial industry, from market data to equity trading platform. He has helped developing products and business strategies in the Asia for companies like ICE Data Services, FlexTrade, Bloomberg and Fidessa. Outside of work, He is also the Co-Chair of the FIX Asia Pacific Emerging Technology and Innovation working group in Asia. In the past, he has made contribution to the Targeted Trade Advertisement gap analysis, China Connect Best Practice guide and is currently working on an update to the guide to cover the Master SPSA initiative.
Gautam Shroff is Co-Head, Institutional Equities at Edelweiss. In his current role, apart from managing some of the firm’s biggest institutional clients, Gautam handles a sales team that manages institutional client relationships across the globe, a trading team with strong capabilities in cash and derivatives trading, ably supported by a research team that brings in-depth and unmatched research to the table. In his previous role as Head – Trading, Edelweiss Institutional Equities, he managed Cash Equities, Alternative Investments and Derivative Desk & Forex. Gautam has over 14 years of experience in Financial Services with core expertise in Equities, Capital Markets, Banking, Asset Management and Equity Trading. Before joining Edelweiss, he was associated with Société Générale as the Deputy Head of Trading.

Vishal is working with SEBI since 2002 and is currently posted as Deputy General Manager in the Market Regulation Department. In past he has worked in SEBI in areas of licensing of trading members and in market surveillance department. He has also worked in SEBI’s field office at Chandigarh where his work profile entailed handling client grievances, conducting financial literacy and investor awareness programmes and inspection of market intermediaries and co-ordination with the other regulators and state government officers on aspects related to curbing of illegal investment schemes.
In his last assignment he was posted as a faculty member at National Institute for Securities Markets (NISM), an educational institute started by SEBI for professionalizing the securities markets.
Vishal is an MBA from University Business School, Panjab University Chandigarh and Masters in Public Policy from Graduate Research Institute for Policy Studies, Tokyo.
For the past 9 years Hugh has worked at and now runs Equity trading at Janus Capital Singapore, recently merged to be Janus Henderson Investors. This role has oversight over the trading of regional cash equities, futures, OTC derivative and forex. Prior to his time on the buyside, Hugh worked on the sell side with large firms such as NewEdge and UBS Securities. As the Head of Trading at Janus Henderson Investors, he is best suited to give his insights on block trading, technology developments and broker relationships in Asia.
Akimi began her career with Nomura Secs based in Japan and subsequently worked at Mizuho Secs before moving to JPM Asset management in 2005 to work within the trading function. In 2018 Akimi relocated to Hong Kong where she has focused on automation both in the Low Touch and the High Touch space. She is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).
Ping Tan is a Managing Director at Bank of America (BofA). She heads the Asia EFX trading team based out of Hong Kong, with global oversight of the principal EFX traders managing risks for the electronic franchise. Besides her trading risk mandate, she is also heavily involved in product development to expand the BofA electronic offering as well as overseeing all regulatory and governance-related matters for the global EFX business.
Ping joined BofA Singapore office in 2004 as an Emerging Markets FX trader, and relocated to the London office in 2006 before moving to EFX trading in 2007 to expand the offering beyond G10 FX Spot to add Emerging Markets FX Spot and Precious Metal OTC Spot. Post her relocation to Hong Kong in end 2015, she has been focusing on Emerging Markets product initiatives like NDFs and Onshore FX. Beyond her day job, Ping is also heavily involved in all firm wide D&I initiatives including chairing the APAC FICC Employee Engagement Committee as well as sitting on the bank’s Hong Kong Philanthropic Board.

Yuki Tanaka, is Client Strategist for the APAC Transition Management team within BlackRock's Trading, Lending and Liquidity Group (TLL).
He is responsible for the development and origination of transition mandates for not only Japan but also Asia countries, including input for design of trading strategies and project management. He also covers equity trading business to develop Japanese capital markets.
His service with the firm dates back to 2011 when he joined the BlackRock trading team as a trader after 4 years trading experience in the previous asset management company. He had responsibility for implementing trading strategies and developing algorithm trading before moving to the Transition Management team in 2019.

Rajeev TUMMALA is a Director in Digital and Data team for HSBC’s Markets & Securities Services Business in Singapore. He joined HSBC in April 2018. He works on the product strategy, implementation, interacts with clients and industry counterparts in regional markets on the overall digital agenda in support of HSBC strategy.
He has been involved primarily in shaping up the agenda for servicing of Digital Assets with Markets and Securities Services. He is engaged with Clients, Financial Market infrastructure providers on implications of DLT for and securities issuance and associated asset servicing.
He was with Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 10 years prior to joining HSBC and was in various leadership positions in their Asia Global Markets Technology and Securities Operations Transformation teams.
He is a business technologist with a keen eye for exploring the effective use of emerging capabilities of technology in Capital Markets & Securities Services. He has worked with Broker Dealers and Securities Service Technology providers for over 20 years (in India, Japan and Singapore) across a range of Innovation, Technology, Data, Change and Service delivery roles. His focus has been on business transformation and has deep experience in business and technology strategy, transformation and cost optimization.
Since 2015, Rajeev has focused on innovation, applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and distributed ledger technology (DLT) on Securities Services and has had responsibility for engaging with Fintech start-ups related to AI and DLT solutions.
Rajeev has an MBA (High Honour’s) from Booth School of Business, University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering from BITS-Pilani in India.
Simon N. Williams, Managing Director, is Head of APAC Equity Trading within BlackRock's Trading and Liquidity Strategies Group. He is responsible for overseeing the equity trading function in the region.
Mr. Williams' service with the firm dates back to 2002, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he had responsibility for implementing trading strategies for all of BGI Europe's index and transition management products. Prior to BGI, Mr. Williams worked as a member of the equity portfolio trading desk at CLSA.
Mr. Williams earned a BSc Hons degree in geological sciences from Durham University in 1995.
Mr. TK Yap, CFA, is Managing Director and Head of Institutional Trading and Execution Services at CGS-CIMB Securities (Singapore).
His 35 years in the securities industry has involved roles across local and global firms, buy and sell sides, distribution and origination, as well as research and sales functions.
In the last 20 years, his focus was on agency execution flow in regional cash equities. His customer proposition at CGS-CIMB is a convergence of high and low touch service models, combining local market knowledge and service coverage, low touch low latency trading connectivity, together with operational solutioning. Clients comprise multi-desk global broker dealers, private banks, buy sides and proprietary trading firms.
TK is an IBF Fellow and serves on both its CMFAS Exam Board and Capital & Financial Markets Workgroup.
He was on the CFA Institute Board of Governors and was Past President and Advisor CFA Singapore.
