Anthony Bowyer is currently Director for Blue Ocean Pte Ltd. Previously he spent 5 years at Instinet Singapore as Vice President Sales for South East Asia. Prior to that he was at Fimat SNC Australia in Electronic Trading for Listed Derivatives and Options. He has also worked for Reuters PLC and Thomson Financial in both London and Hong Kong focusing on trading and research solutions. Currently he is Co-Chair of the Singapore Working Group for FIX Trading Community.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University.

Tim Bruenjes

Mr. Bruenjes is a senior vice president and equity trader in the Singapore office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2011, he was a vice president for active equity trading at DWS Investments, responsible for Asian developed and emerging market equity, derivatives and foreign exchange execution. Previously he was a vice president in Asian and U.S. equity trading for Deutsche Asset Management, where he was also a specialist biotech trader. He has 17 years of investment and financial services experience and holds a bankers degree in conjunction with Deutsche Bank AG and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Bremen.

Catalin Burlacu

Catalin is an investment professional with more than 18 years of experience in investment management, asset and risk allocation with reputable firms in Tokyo and Singapore. He managed funds for Barclays Global Investors (BLACKROCK) in Tokyo and Millennium Partners in Singapore, and ran quant books and risk for Morgan Stanley and later on with Regal Funds in Singapore.

Catalin is currently with Maiora Asset Management running systematic algorithms for Equities and FOREX, and building an asset and risk allocation platform technology and related analytics. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Tokyo University and an MBA from INSEAD in France. Catalin is teaching a Master Course in Asset Management at the Singapore Management University.

Chin Ping Chia
Managing Director, Head of Asia Pacific Research

Mr. Chia is Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific Research at MSCI. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Chia oversees the firm's index, ESG and analytic applied research agenda across the entire Asia Pacific region. Mr. Chia sits on the board of various global research committees including the MSCI Equity Index Committee, which is responsible for all editorial decisions related to MSCI indices. Mr. Chia is also tasked with formulating the firms' new product development agenda in addition to developing capacity to provide clear insights to leading institutional investors, asset managers and sovereign wealth funds in the region.

Chin Ping Chia is a regular speaker at industry events on topics related to asset allocation, portfolio construction, quantitative investment strategies, risk management and ETF developments. Before joining MSCI, Mr. Chia was a buy-side analyst at HSBC Asset Management and held Director level position at the Ministry of Trade & Industry Singapore. Mr. Chia holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics from the National University of Singapore and is a CFA Charter holder.

Jenny Chiam

Ms. Jenny Chiam joined SGX as Senior Vice President and Head of Securities on 1 July 2013.

Her responsibilities include development and management of new products and ensuring the securities grows in breadth and depth. Ms. Chiam has a strong record in the Asian Pacific Institutional Securities Industry since 1986. She was previously CEO of Nomura Securities Singapore & Head of Equities (ASEAN) for Nomura Securities, Executive Director of Credit Suisse Securities Singapore, Executive Director of Deutsche Securities Ltd (USA), Executive Director of SBCI in Sydney and New York, Executive Director of Baring Securities Australia and Institutional sales at Clarke Vickers Australia.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Melbourne University.

Brandon DeCoster

Brandon DeCoster is the Vice President of Product Management for FIX Flyer LLC, and is a specialist in production operations and the FIX Protocol. Brandon studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a BS in Information Technology in 2005, and worked for years as a software engineer at IBM. He entered the financials in 2007 as an engineer for Pipeline Financial Group, supporting their dark matching engine and algorithmic equities trading, and is an avid student of game theory, a topic on which he lectures widely.

Michael Drake

Michael is the Head of Business Development for Asia with Symphony Communications and is based in Hong Kong. Michael also serves with FIX (Co-Chair, APAC Education and Marketing Committee and Asia Chair, Global Membership Services) and has volunteered with the group since 2009.

Before Symphony, Michael worked as the Asia Regional Director for REDI Technologies, and prior to that, with Goldman Sachs for seven years in its New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong offices, focusing on execution sales, product development, and marketing for its electronic trading division. Michael holds a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin's Red McCombs School of Business.

John Fildes

John Fildes is Chief Executive Officer of Chi-X Australia, joining the organisation in April 2013. He brings extensive experience in stockbroking, investing, market development, market infrastructure and market platforms in Australia and Asia.

Mr. Fildes previous roles include Director of Strategic Development for KCG Holding, Inc. and Managing Director and COO, Asia, of Instinet Pacific, where he oversaw regional operations for Instinet in Asia, including Japan. Before joining Instinet in 2006, John Fildes served at Morgan Stanley for 10 years in Hong Kong, where he held positions as the Head of Equity Marketing and Head of Electronic and Program Trading for Asia-Pacific.

Mr. Fildes has been closely involved with the development of the FIX Trading Community in Asia Pacific and has served as Director of FIX Trading Community, and is a former Board Member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia.

Jay Hurley

Jay is the head of electronic FX trading in Asia for Bank of America Merrill Lynch since joining the firm in 2011. Prior to this, Jay spent eight years at Morgan Stanley in both London and Hong Kong in electronic FX trading. He has spent his 17 year financial services career in electronic trading starting in equities at Morgan Stanley and UBS.

Jay is a veteran of the FIX community: he has co-chaired the FX Technical Subcommittee, the FX Committee, and was elected to co-chair the OTC Products Committee in 2014 and is an active member of the Asia Pacific Steering Committee.

Jay received a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh.

Nizam Ismail

Nizam is a Partner of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing and is a Director of RHT Compliance Solutions, a dedicated financial services compliance consultancy/solutions provider.

He has had 20 years of experience and expertise in financial services regulatory compliance and litigation.

He was Executive Director and Head of Compliance for Southeast Asia in Morgan Stanley Singapore. Nizam was also formerly Senior Vice President and Head of Compliance for Southeast Asia at Lehman Brothers Singapore, Executive Director (Legal and Compliance) in Nomura Singapore and Senior Legal Counsel of Citigroup (Corporate and Investment Bank). Nizam’s area of compliance coverage included markets, investment banking, corporate banking, private banking and asset management. Nizam's product coverage included fixed income, equities, commodities, currency, rates, derivatives, futures, structured deposits.

Nizam spent six years as a regulator at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where he was Deputy Director and Head of the Market Conduct Policy Division. There, Nizam worked on various policy reviews relating to the capital markets, including various policy reviews leading to the enactment of the Securities and Futures Act, the Financial Advisers Act, Trust Companies Act and the Business Trust Act. Nizam also conducted a review on the application of competition law on financial services. Nizam also worked with other international financial services regulators on a variety of cross-border regulatory projects.

The policy reviews that Nizam oversaw at MAS included: (1) revamp of regulatory framework on markets/recognized market operators, (2) dual currency investments, (3) credit card solitication rules, (4) disclosure requirements for investment products, (5) rationalisation of wholesale/retail investors, (6) extra-territorial application, (7) regulation of traded life/endowment policies, (8) civil penalty regime for market misconduct, (9) review of insider trading, (10) licensing and business conduct issues, (11) policies behind regulation capital markets intermediaries, (12) implementation of recommendations of Corporate Law and Regulatory Framework Committee (CLRFC).

At the MAS, Nizam also worked on policy issues relating to corporate governance issues. Issues include: (1) review of corporate governance code, (2) quarterly reporting , (3) disclosure of operating and financial reports by listed companies and (4) drafting of the Code of Corporate Governance for listed companies.

Having graduated from the NUS Law School in 1991 on a Public Service Commission Local Merit Scholarship, Nizam started his legal career as Deputy Public Prosecutor/State Counsel at the Commercial Affairs Department, where he prosecuted high-profile corporate and market misconduct cases including insider trading, market rigging and fraud.

Iosif Itkin

Iosif is co-founder and CEO of Exactpro, a specialist firm focused on functional and non-functional testing of trading systems, data distribution, risk management, market surveillance and post-trade infrastructures.

Iosif manages business development and research in the high load trading systems reliability field. He has organized and participated in several industry conferences, including EXTENT - Trading Technology Trends and Quality Assurance. In his current role, Iosif is actively involved in delivering strategic software testing initiatives. Founded in 2009 with ten core specialists on board, Exactpro now employs 300 engineers mainly focused on tools and methods of exchange and clearing technology platforms' analysis.

As of May 2015 Exactpro is part of London Stock Exchange Group's Technology Services division, which also incorporates MillenniumIT and GATElab.

Prior to founding Exactpro, Iosif was responsible for performance testing and test automation projects for a number of leading exchanges and global investment banks.

Ben Jefferys

Ben Jefferys has specialised in financial markets trading technology for over 18 years. Ben joined IRESS in 2010 and his role as Head of Trading Solutions oversees all aspects of trading technology including solution design, regulation change, connectivity, smart order routing and dark pools. Ben has also played an integral role working with regulators, exchanges and clients in developing the multi-market capabilities at IRESS. Prior to joining IRESS, Ben has worked in similar roles at Saxo Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and MF Global in London and Sydney.

Chris Jenkins

Chris joined TORA in 2006 as Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region. Chris has been in the industry for over 18 years, 12 of these in Asia.

TORA is a provider of asset management technology including EMS, OMS and Portfolio Management and Risk systems, algorithmic strategies and off market liquidity. Prior to joining TORA, Chris worked in Hong Kong at SWIFT, where he managed the Asian FIX sales team. Before SWIFT, Chris worked for Macgregor, a U.S. based order management system (OMS) provider. Chris also worked for AXA Investment Managers and HSBC Stockbroking in London.

Chris has previously served as Co-Chair of the Asia-Pacific Committee for FIX Trading Community, and had been instrumental in expanding the use of electronic trading throughout Asia.

Josephine Kim

Josephine Kim is responsible for Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Global Execution Services (GES) Sales in Asia. GES provides Direct Market Access, multi asset algorithmic strategies, analytics and execution consulting services throughout the world. Josephine actively participates in industry consultations through various expert opinion editorials and events across Asia. She is also a Co-Chair of FIX Trading Community Singapore Working Group.

Alison King

Alison King is Head of Product and Platform Delivery, Derivatives at the Singapore Exchange responsible for trading and clearing platforms across the Asian asset classes for OTC, Commodities and Listed Derivatives.

Prior to joining SGX, Ms King was at Eurex Clearing responsible for the OTC clearing initiative and client asset protection in line with upcoming EMIR requirements.

Alison has 25 years of experience in the global Financial Markets business focusing on market infrastructure and customer initiatives around CCP's including F&O and OTC clearing business development.

Tom Kingsley

Tom is Regional Manager – APAC for Bloomberg Tradebook and is based in Singapore. Tom joined Tradebook in April of 2009 and has been focused on strengthening its relationships with its buy-side and sell-side partners in Asia as well as delivering our seamless 24/7 business model to the APAC region. Tom has more than 18 years of global sales and trading experience on both the buy-side and sell-side. He joined Tradebook from Magna Securities, where he was Sr. VP of Asian Markets and head of the sales trading desk. Prior to Magna, Tom spent 11 years as Principal and Director of Trading at Simms Capital, a multi-billion dollar global equity fund. Tom holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Duncan Klein

Duncan Klein joined MarketAxess in 2014 as Head of Asia Sales and is responsible for managing relationships with MarketAxess' investor and dealer client base, guiding the sales effort of trading services, expanding the Asian product offering and overseeing a team of sales people across the Asian markets. Mr. Klein has over 20 years of global credit market experience spanning from Paris, London and Singapore. Most recently, Mr. Klein served as Executive Director, Head of Transition Management for J.P. Daniel Lee

Daniel Lee has 19 years of experience in stock broking. He is responsible for the Electronic Trading, proximity hosting (co-location services) and ETF business in DBS Vickers. Prior to joining DBS Vickers, Daniel worked in equity sales, sales trading and research with WI Carr. Before that he was doing research in Occupational Psychology (Industrial and Organisational Psychology) at the University of Cambridge. The project focused on management and organisational aspects of teleworking and decentralized work. Participants in the research included British Telecoms, Telecoms Eire and DEC. The research was sponsored by a bursary from the Overseas Research Scheme, a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Fellowship and a bursary from King's College, Cambridge. Daniel holds a first class honours degree from the Queen's University of Belfast. He also holds an MBA and a LL.M.

Matthew Lempriere

Matthew Lempriere is the Global Head of Financial Services Market Segment of Telstra Global, an Australian telco and information services company.

Based in Hong Kong, Lempriere is responsible for identifying and optimising opportunities for the company within the financial services sector across Asia Pacific, EMEA and the US.

With more than 20 years of sales and account management experience in the financial and telco industries, Lempriere has in-depth specialist knowledge in the delivery of electronic trading and information applications to the banking industry. Before joining Telstra Global, he was the Head of BT Radianz for Asia Pacific.

Luke Lim

Mr. Luke Lim is Director of Corporate Business at Phillip Securities. He is responsible for the development of corporate services for brokers and wealth management firms. He is actively involved in technology development of Phillip. Previously, he headed Contracts for Difference and Exchange Traded funds to be choice trading instruments for traders.

Mr. Luke Lim graduated from Imperial College majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Nanyang Technical University.

Stephane Loiseau

Stephane is a Managing Director within Societe Generale’s Global Markets division, and has a dual mandate of Head of Cash Equities for Asia Pacific and Head of Global Execution Services, which comprises cross asset execution across High Touch Sales-trading & Electronic Trading Solutions.

Stephane began his career with Societe Generale in New York in 1996 as a trader on international equities. He relocated to London three years later to join the Program Trading team, where he contributed to the creation of a global execution platform for the Bank. Since returning to New York in 2000, Stephane has held a variety of positions, including Head of New York Program Trading, Deputy Head of Global Program Trading, and Global Head of Program Trading. In 2008, all Equity execution services for Societe Generale were integrated under one umbrella, and Stephane relocated to London to become Deputy Global Head of Execution Services, as well as Head of Cash Equity Execution for London.

In August 2012, Stephane moved to Hong Kong to take up the newly created role of Head of Cash Equities Asia Pacific. With the acquisition of Newedge in 2014, Listed Derivatives was added to the execution offering, allowing Societe Generale to provide institutional clients with unparalleled access to 125 cash equities & listed derivatives exchanges worldwide.

Leonard Loke

Liam Madden

Liam Madden is a Managing Director and Head of Legal and Compliance, Asia Pacific for Instinet. Based in Hong Kong since 2008, Liam looks after Instinet's legal and compliance function for the region.

Serving as the equities execution arm of the Nomura Group, Instinet provides independent, agency-only brokerage services to clients throughout the world. Instinet has an advanced suite of in-house developed electronic trading tools including award winning front-end technology, algorithms and smart order routing.

Having started his legal career in private practice, Liam spent the first dozen years of his career in commercial litigation. He moved in-house in 2006 working with CMC Markets; a provider of derivatives (contracts for difference) and online stockbroker targeting retail investors.

Admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia and Hong Kong, Liam holds a B.A., L.L.B. and Master of Business Law degree from the University of Sydney.

Edward Mangles

Mr. Edward Mangles is the founder and Publisher of GlobalTrading, the official publication of the FIX Trading Community. He has a long history within the financial technology sector and has worked closely with FIX Trading Community for a number of years. He has supported the organisation’s Asia Pacific committee for the past 12 years, playing a key role in promoting FIX adoption across the region. He has also worked for leading financial publishing and marketing firms in both London and Hong Kong. In March 09 Mr. Edward Mangles was appointed FIX Trading Community Asia Pacific Regional Director.

Roger McAvoy

Roger McAvoy joined 360T Trading Networks in 2014 as Sales Director for institutional sales and business development across Asia. He is responsible for new business and relationship management across the institutional buy-side for the firm’s FX OTC electronic trading technology, data and analytics.

Prior to 360T, he was responsible MSCI’s Equity Index Benchmark Data and Portfolio Management Analytics businesses across Asia Pacific, including responsibility for the asset manager clients across Asia Pac, Europe, the Middle East and India. Before MSCI, Mr. McAvoy was a Board Member and MD for Asia Pac Sales and Operations at Tradeweb International, and had spent 12 years at Thomson Financial leading client coverage teams and commercial product management across the institutional equities and investment management customer segments, including coverage of products such as AutEx, Thomson ONE, DataStream, I/B/E/S, Worldscope, PORTIA and Quantitative Analytics (TQA/QAI).

Mr. McAvoy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College, and a Masters of Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology. He is a member of the FIX Trading Community’s Asia Pacific Education & Marketing Committee and the Global OTC Products Committee. He is also a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.

Thomas McMahon
Managing Director and CEO

Thomas McMahon is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of UD Trading Holding. He has more than 25 years' experience in commodities as well as international exchange based derivative product creation, OTC clearing and trading.

Having been based in Asia over the past decade, Mr. McMahon brings a wealth of experience bringing to market major International Exchange formation and licensing projects in Singapore, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Dubai and India and successfully licensed and launched the Singapore Mercantile Exchange (SMX) now ICE Sg.

He was a member of a number of exchanges including the New York Cotton Exchange, the New York Sugar and Coffee Exchange (NYBOT) and the New York Mercantile Exchange/ Director (NYMEX), later he served as the Vice President and Director of Asia and was instrumental in the formation and launch of NYMEX Tokyo in 2003 and later NYMEX (CME) Singapore in 2004 as well as the licensing and launch of ClearPort across Asia. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of NYMEX.

He also served as President, Managing Director and Deputy Chairman at the Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange (HKMEX) between 2007 and 2009, where he was involved in exchange technology and product implementation, cross border regulatory interaction with the CSRC, PBOC and CBRC for mainland China recognition, SFC regulatory submission and approval. He was actively involved in the Hong Kong/China Commodity Exchange project. In 2010 successfully licensed and launched the Singapore Mercantile Exchange (SMX) now known as ICE Singapore.

Mr. McMahon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master’s level studies in History and Economics.

Abhishek Mohla

Abhishek Mohla is Executive Director at UBS in the Equities Client Trading and Execution team, based in Singapore since Jan 2011. In this role, Abhishek acts as Account Manager for South East Asia and India clients' global Electronic Trading needs. This entails ongoing education on Market Microstructure changes, DMA/Algo product enhancements and Execution Consultancy through Transaction Cost Analysis.

Prior to Singapore, Abhishek was based in Hong Kong holding the role of Asia-Pacific Head of Client Facing Technologies for UBS Equities IT. Abhishek joined UBS as a Graduate in London as an IT Developer in the firm's web-based trading platform before moving to Hong Kong in Oct 2007.

Abhishek holds a Masters of Engineering degree from the University of York, UK.

Ned Phillips

Ned has been based in Asia for 24 years and has been working in equities and electronic trading since 1999. Ned began his career at E*TRADE in Hong Kong, one of the first online brokers globally, and then became MD for E*TRADE in Asia. Ned was also one of the founders of alternative trading venues in Asia. He worked at ITG, CLSA and most recently at Chi-East, a regional dark pool which was a joint venture between SGX and Chi-X. Throughout his career Ned has specialised in the creation and promotion of alternative venues, electronic trading and regulation in Asian markets. Ned Phillips is currently a director of Alternative Exchange Advisory, which is a consultancy focusing on the Fin Tech space in Asia. Ned is also a director at 8 Securities, Asia's leading Robo Adviser, and is an Adviser to the Singapore Fin Tech Consortium. Rideout joined HKEx from Citigroup, where he served most recently as head of wholesale execution services, Asia and chief spokesman on the implementation of Stock Connect.

Matthias Rietig

Born in Frankfurt/Germany in 1977, Matthias started his professional career with Deutsche Boerse AG in 1998, first as a trainee and then served in various roles within the group. Matthias left Deutsche Boerse AG in 2003 for a short half year stint with Monex Securities Inc. in Tokyo, one of the leading Japanese online brokers. After returning to Europe, Matthias joined the Global Markets team at Deutsche Bank, covering Euro-bonds and Autobahn trades for the London desk before taking up a role as ECB watcher for the Japanese Ministry of Finance in Frankfurt. Matthias joined Osaka Exchange in 2006 to facilitate the international business development of the exchange. Since then he actively engages in promoting and marketing OSE’s derivatives market as well as the Co-location and remote membership initiatives to traditional and non-traditional end users globally. Matthias studied economics and Japanese studies at the Goethe University of Frankfurt. In 2003 he received a CDG-fellowship grant by the German parliament. Matthias he is married with a son.

Jeroen Rodenberg

Jeroen Rodenberg is Bloomberg’s product specialist for its Multi-Asset Transactional Cost Analysis platform and responsible for South Asia. He has been with the company since 2010. Jeroen started his career in The Netherlands where he worked in global equity portfolio management at Robeco. After working 6 years for the buy-side he moved to the sell-side for the following 10 years, initially in institutional research sales for Dutch based broker Theodoor Gilissen. He then moved to Instinet’s European brokerage operation in London where he was responsible for sales of its electronic trading platform Newport and algorithmic offerings to institutional customers.

Katie Rowbottom

Katie Rowbottom has been working at Bloomberg for 9 years in a variety of roles covering Sellside Banks and focusing on Electronic and Voice Trading of Fixed Income, FX and Derivative products. After several years managing Electronic Trading Support in the London office, she relocated to the Hong Kong office 2 years ago.

Katie is currently part of the FICC Sellside Electronic Trading team, covering clients in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia, and has a MA (Hons) in Modern Languages (French and German) from Balliol College, Oxford.

Lucas Schmeddes

Lucas Schmeddes is President and Chief Operating Officer of ICE Futures Singapore and ICE Clear Singapore. As President and COO, Lucas is overseeing the transition of the former Singapore Mercantile Exchange and its clearing house onto ICE trading and clearing infrastructure and the further development of ICE's presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Lucas was the former Chief Operating Officer of ICE Endex; ICE's Amsterdam based European natural gas and power exchange. Prior to his appointment at ICE in 2013, Lucas was Chief Financial Officer on the Board of APX-ENDEX. He has also held several senior finance positions in high growth businesses within APX and TNT.

Lucas graduated from Tilburg University with an MA in econometrics and earned an MBA from INSEAD.

Scott Treloar

Scott is Chief Risk Officer of Vulpes Investment Management, an alternative investments management firm based in Singapore. Prior to that he worked for Deutsche Bank in Singapore where he headed a quantitative team covering modelling and valuation risk for the Bank's Asian trading businesses. He has also worked in venture capital and private equity investing which included five years with Macquarie Bank in Sydney.

Scott has a BEng from the University of Melbourne, an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, a Master of Quantitative Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney and he is completing a PhD in Finance with EDHEC.

Tsai Li Renn

Mr. Tsai Li Renn is Senior Vice President and Head of Fixed Income Trading at Singapore Exchange (SGX).

Mr. Tsai started his career in 1993 in New York and has experience running a wide range of businesses ranging from banking / origination, structuring, trading & syndication, risk management to asset management.

Mr. Tsai joined SGX in July 2013. Prior to joining SGX, Mr. Tsai served as Senior Vice President of Debt Capital Markets at DBS Bank from 2011-2013. He joined from DBS Asset Management where he was Fixed Income Investment Director and a member of the Management Committee.

Prior to DBS Asset Management, Mr. Tsai was most recently Managing Director and Head of Structured Solutions at UBS.

Mr. Tsai holds a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and an M.B.A from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Clare Witts

Clare Witts is responsible for the strategy and implementation of ITG's interaction with institutional clients, regulators, exchanges and the media across the Asia Pacific region. She also runs ITG's Commission Management and CSA program in Asia and Australia. Since moving to Asia eight years ago, Clare has also been actively involved in a number of industry initiatives including the Asia Pacific FIX Committee, and chaired the ASIFMA CSA group.

TK Yap
Executive Director & Head of Institutional Business

Mr. TK Yap, CFA, is Executive Director at OCBC Securities overseeing its Institutional Business, which includes teams covering sales trading, electronic execution into Asean and regional markets, ETF block execution, as well as origination and distribution.

His experience in the investment and securities business over the last 30 years spanned local and foreign firms, buy and sell sides, distribution and origination. In stockbroking he held roles as head of research and head of sales of a regional brokerage in the early 90s. He joined OCBC Securities in 1998 to start its broker dealer sales trading and electronic execution business, serving the cash, derivatives, portfolio trading, proprietary and market making desks of the global broker dealers, electronic trading networks, and trading desks who need an execution service with local sales trading color, such as those of private banks, buy sides and propriety trading firms. The firm’s niche in the automated trading space includes market makers, delta one and synthetic/swap desks, and the smaller prop trading firms.

TK serves on the Securities Advisory Committee of the Singapore Exchange and other committees on the Institute of Banking and Finance, the Securities Investors Association of Singapore and has also served on Monetary Authority of Singapore committees and task forces. He was on the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute and is Advisor and a Past President of CFA Singapore. In 2014 TK was recognised as an IBF Fellow, awarded to industry veterans who have demonstrated mastery of a profession and exemplify thought leadership and commitment to industry development.
