Mr. Abdullah is also a member of the FIX Trading Community technical subcommittee. Prior to joining Daiwa Capital Markets, he has held various positions at Investment Technology Group.
Richard Atkins

Richard Atkins is Senior Manager, Trade Execution and Sales at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Richard is responsible for ASX's cash market including trading product and trading platform development and sales. Richard joined ASX in 2012 after a number of years running a consultancy business in London assisting major investment banks and industry associations in dealing with and providing thought leadership on developing market structure.
Richard previously spent 14 years with London Stock Exchange Group and was latterly responsibility for the management and development of the Group's cash market trading products and trading platform. During his time with LSE, Richard also held senior strategic, regulatory and operational roles.
Bryan Chan

Mr. Bryan Chan joined the HKEx in 2000 and was most recently appointed Co-head of the Equities, Fixed Income and Currency under the Global Markets Division of the HKEx in January 2013. Since 26 September 2012, Mr. Chan has also been appointed as Chief Executive of the China Exchanges Services Company Limited, a joint venture of HKEx, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Mr. Chan is currently serving as a director of the board of the Hong Kong Securities & Investment Institute, a member of its Professional Events Committee and Examinations Committee. He was admitted as a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Securities & Investment Institute in 2012.
Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the University of Hong Kong.
Dave Chapman

Dave Chapman serves as chief operating officer and co-founder of ANX, a financial technology company specializing in crypto-currencies, most well known for their online Bitcoin exchange platform offerings. Dave has 10 years' experience in investment banking technology roles and prior to joining ANX last year was formerly the head of front office development for Futures IT at HSBC, Asia. He has consulted at Bear Stearns, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital and ABN Amro.
Originally from Australia, Dave migrated to London in 2003 and then to Hong Kong in 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Business in Information Systems in addition to various technical qualifications.
Jenny Chiam

Her responsibilities include development and management of new products and ensuring the securities grows in breadth and depth. Ms. Chiam has a strong record in the Asian Pacific Institutional Securities Industry since 1986. She was previously CEO of Nomura Securities Singapore & Head of Equities (ASEAN) for Nomura Securities, Executive Director of Credit Suisse Securities Singapore, Executive Director of Deutsche Securities Ltd (USA), Executive Director of SBCI in Sydney and New York, Executive Director of Baring Securities Australia and Institutional sales at Clarke Vickers Australia.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Melbourne University.

Michael serves as Head of Asia for REDI Technologies, an independent technology company offering unique trading solutions globally and a fully broker-neutral product offering. Previously, Michael worked at Goldman Sachs for seven years in its New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong offices, focusing on execution sales, product development, and marketing for its electronic trading division. Michael holds a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin's Red McCombs School of Business.

Ed Duggan recently joined the J.P. Morgan electronic sales and trading team in Hong Kong, having transferred from its London office where he ran the Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) sales business in EMEA for the last five years. Ed has a deep knowledge of equity execution (particularly electronic trading) as well as significant experience working across high and low touch trading desks. In addition, Ed has held key leadership roles in the build-out of the UBS, Cazenove and J.P. Morgan European electronic businesses and is looking forward to learning about and getting to grips with the unique challenges posed by the Asian markets.
John Fildes

John Fildes is Chief Executive Officer of Chi-X Australia, joining the organisation in April 2013. He brings extensive experience in stockbroking, investing, market development, market infrastructure and market platforms in Australia and Asia.
Mr. Fildes previous roles include Director of Strategic Development for KCG Holding, Inc. and Managing Director and COO, Asia, of Instinet Pacific, where he oversaw regional operations for Instinet in Asia, including Japan. Before joining Instinet in 2006, John Fildes served at Morgan Stanley for 10 years in Hong Kong, where he held positions as the Head of Equity Marketing and Head of Electronic and Program Trading for Asia-Pacific.
Mr. Fildes has been closely involved with the development of the FIX Trading Community in Asia Pacific and has served as Director of FIX Trading Community, and is a former Board Member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia. Mr. Fildes is a member of the Australian FMRC Market Quality Advisory Panel and until recently was a member of the SGX Derivatives Committee in Singapore.
Steve Grob

Steve is responsible for Fidessa's global strategic direction including the development of new geographic markets, asset class coverage and strategic partnerships, as well as driving new industry initiatives within Fidessa's community of over 25,000 buy-side and sell-side users.
As part of this Steve heads up the firm's strategy in response to the changing trading landscape, as regulation and technology combine in different ways across different geographic regions. He has written a number of white papers on this and other industry topics. These include an examination of the new buy-side business models and workflows that are emerging; an analysis of the evolution of the global and super-regional broker community; an insight into the forces reshaping the global derivatives industry; and a series on the impact of multi-market structures on the Australian and Japanese equity trading landscapes.
Steve is a frequent commentator in the business press and speaks regularly at industry events around the world. He also provides regular written and video commentary on the challenges and opportunities facing market participants.
On joining Fidessa in 2004 Steve led the development of the company's multi-asset trading capabilities. He was previously founder and CEO of specialist derivatives software house Future Dynamics which was one of the companies at the vanguard of the shift from open outcry to screen-based trading in world derivatives markets.

James Hardcastle is Head of Sales for Fidessa in Australia where he has been based since November 2011. James joined Fidessa in 1998 as a Technical Consultant based in London and worked on projects for numerous tier-one investment banks across Europe. Prior to Sydney James was based at Fidessa’s Tokyo office, where he lived for 12 years, and was most recently Head of International Sales. In addition to his role with Fidessa James is also Co-Chair of the FIX Trading Community Australia Working Group committee actively involved in the adoption and promotion of all things FIX culminating in the annual conference held in October each year. James has a BSc Honours degree in Computer Science & Business Studies from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK, and in his spare time enjoys running, cycling and travelling.
Rob Hodgkinson

Rob Hodgkinson has worked in Information Technology, developing software in financial markets with a focus on financial mathematics, for over thirty years.
In 1992 Rob co-founded Financial Market Software Consultants (FMSC) and developed the Automated Securities Trading System, which was sold to many securities exchanges throughout the world including Shanghai, Jakarta, Moscow, Montreal, Istanbul, Oslo, Helsinki, and Budapest before the company was sold to Computershare and the system acquired by Nasdaq OMX.
Rob is currently a director of First Derivatives (Australia) Pty Ltd, a company specialising in capital markets projects. Rob heads up the exchange initiative, developing low latency solutions for exchanges globally.
Joel Hurewitz

Mr. Hurewitz is responsible for the Instinet’s alternative execution venues, execution management tools and algorithmic trading products in the region. He also manages the firm's DMA and algorithmic offerings as well as its broker relationships.
Prior to joining Instinet, Mr. Hurewitz was Head of Sales for BlocSec at CLSA, and Asia-Pacific Head of Electronic Trading Products at HSBC. He has also been an active member and supporter of FIX Trading Community, the standards body for electronic trading, for the past thirteen years, including editing GlobalTrading magazine.
Jay Hurley

Jay is the head of electronic FX trading in Asia for Bank of America Merrill Lynch since joining the firm in 2011. Prior to this, Jay spent eight years at Morgan Stanley in both London and Hong Kong in electronic FX trading. He has spent his 16 year financial services career in electronic trading starting in equities at Morgan Stanley and UBS.
Jay is a veteran of the FIX community: he has co-chaired the FX Technical Subcommittee, the FX Committee, and was recently elected to co-chair the OTC Products Committee and is an active member of the Asia Pacific Steering Committee.
Jay received a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh.

Sam Y. Kim

Mr. Kim's service with the firm dates back to 2009, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Prior to his current role, Mr. Kim managed the Scientific Active Equity trading team for the Americas in San Francisco. Before relocating to San Francisco, Mr. Kim was head of trading in Tokyo. Prior to joining BGI, Mr. Kim was a partner at Colden Capital Management in New York, which he co-founded in 2000. At Colden Capital, Mr. Kim co-managed the firm's event-driven portfolio, including merger arbitrage and special situation equity investments. Prior to Colden, Mr. Kim was a Vice President in Equity Derivatives at Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust where he specialized in structuring and marketing over-the-counter equity derivative products.

Robert Laible is a Division Director at Macquarie Securities Group based in Hong Kong and is Head of Program Trading & Electronic Execution for Asia. He had similar roles at Nomura where he was Co-Head of Global Electronic Trading Sales, APAC Head of Program Trading Sales & AEJ Head of Cash Sales Trading. Previously, Robert worked at Lehman Brothers in New York where he was a Senior Sales Trader covering a combination of pension plans, mutual funds, and quantitative managers for cash equities, programs, ETFs and swaps. He moved to Hong Kong in 2007 to run Lehman's Prime Brokerage Sales & Electronic Trading Sales. He started his career at ITG in its infancy and while running Sales & Trading helped build innovative technology that allowed it to become a dominant agency broker.

Prior to this Eric had played various key roles within HSBC, including market data technology, infrastructure, software development, and project management. Eric is based in Hong Kong.
Eric formerly held positions as senior developer and system analyst with the Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Ltd, responsible for development of the AMS/2 trading platform.

Jessica Morrison

Jessica Morrison is the Head of Asia Pacific Commission Management and Market Structure for Deutsche Bank.
Commission Management offers Commission Sharing Agreements to fund managers from a range of jurisdictions allowing clients to pay for appropriate research and execution services on an unbundled basis from execution. Market Structure focuses on the effect that changes in regulation and technology have on trading behaviours in Equity products.
Jessica actively participates in industry consultations, lobbying and speaks at Deutsche Bank client education events on topics such as the recent SFC electronic trading requirements. She is the Co-Chair of the FIX Trading Community's Exchanges and Regulatory Subcommittee and represents DB at the ASIFMA Equity Trading Committee.
Having moved to Hong Kong in January 2011, Jessica has worked for Deutsche since early 2009, initially in Compliance. She previously worked for Morgan Stanley and holds an MA in Law from the University of Cambridge.

Ned has been based in Asia for 23 years and has been working in equities and electronic trading since 1999. Ned began his career at E*TRADE in Hong Kong, one of the first online brokers globally, and then became MD for E*TRADE in Asia. Ned was also one of the founders of alternative trading venues in Asia. He worked at ITG, CLSA and most recently at Chi-East, a regional dark pool which was a joint venture between SGX and Chi-X. Throughout his career Ned has specialised in the creation and promotion of alternative venues, electronic trading and regulation in Asian markets. Ned Phillips is currently a director of Alternative Exchange Advisory, which is a consultancy focusing on electronic trading and alternatives in Asia. Ned holds an Honours degree in Economics from Heriot Watt University Edinburgh.

Ms. Quinn earned a Bachelor of Business (Finance and Law) from the University of Technology, Sydney. She started her career in finance with AMP Henderson Global Investors. In 2001, she joined a Alliance Capital as a senior trader. She became Head of Trading for AllianceBernstein Australia 2009 and in 2011 saw her responsibilities expand to include Asia Pacific fixed income and equities.
In addition to her role as Co-chair, Asia Pacific Regional Committee, FIX Trading Community, Emma is currently a member of Asia Trader Forum and Quorum 15. Emma was inaugural chairperson of the Australian Buy-side Traders' advisory board, an active member of the ASX Buy-side Traders' Forum and was co-chair FIX Trading Community - Australia Working Group.
Emma has featured in industry publications including GlobalTrading, The Trade Asia, Asian Investor and Asia Risk. She has also participated in numerous conferences including FIX conferences, Australasian Investor Relations Associations and TradeTech.
Julian Ragless

David Rabinowitz

David Rabinowitz started his career at SBC Warburg in 1997, where he assisted in designing and implementing SBC Warburg's European Equity Research database. He then moved to Paribas in 1999 to concentrate on developing Paribas's Research database product for the Equities division.
David moved to Hong Kong to rejoin UBS Warburg Dillon Read in 2000, where he helped to build out the Asian Equity Research product. In 2002, David joined the Asian Quantitative Research team where he worked as a member of the award winning Asian Quantitative Analysis team (2004 - Institutional Investor) and nominated for Extel Survey's "Rising Star Analyst" award. David spent the next four years on the top ranked Asian Portfolio Trading team (2004-08 - Financial News, The Asset). Since 2008, David has been responsible for leading the Asian electronic trading desk and for managing the rollout and growth of UBS's DMA and Algorithmic strategy platform throughout Asia.
David graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Psychology and holds an Honors' degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Nick Ronalds is Managing Director of ASIFMA's Equity Division and works closely with ASIFMA's Equity Committee to address all ASIFMA initiatives involving equity markets and products in Asia.
Nick joined ASIFMA from consultancy RhoFinancial where he worked with clients seeking to develop their presence in Asia's exchange-traded derivatives markets. One project at RhoFinancial was to create the Asian affiliate for the Futures Industry Association, FIA Asia, and to lead it to become the leading voice for the exchange-traded derivatives industry in the Asian region.
Prior to RhoFinancial Nick held roles in the industry such as Managing Director of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's (CME) Asia office and Senior Vice President, Global Markets for exchange-traded derivatives at ABN AMRO Securities. In his role heading CME’s Asia office he negotiated with Japan's Ministry of Finance for approval of GLOBEX, the first-ever offshore electronic trading system permitted in Japan. He began his career in the product development division of the CME and subsequently as Chicago Operations Manager of the CME Clearing House. Nick is a CFA Charter holder and has written articles for publications ranging from International Financing Review and Futures Magazine to Nihon Shoken Shimbun and Caixin. He co-authored the Chapter on Chinese futures markets for The Intelligent Commodity Investor (Risk Books, 2007). Fluent in French and German and conversational in Japanese, Nick has a Masters degree in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

From 1996 until 1999, Kent was a Deputy General Manager of Asian Equity Sales at Nikko Securities. Prior to that, he was the Head of Japan Desk, Asian Equities at Sun Hung Kai Investment Services both in Hong Kong and Tokyo. He has over twenty years investment experience. Currently, or in the past Kent has been active as a Speaker, Panelist, Member, or on the Advisory Boards of various groups including FTSE Asia Pacific Regional Committee, Institutional Investors' International Trader Forum (ITF) events, & WBR's TradeTech Asia, and the FIX Trading Community as well as having served on OMGEO Asia’s Advisory Board.

Matt manages a team of twelve equity traders based in Hong Kong, covering all markets in the Asia-Pacific region. He joined Fidelity in 2002 as the Australian equity trader, relocating from Melbourne. Matt is currently Chairman of the Asia Trader Forum. Prior to joining Fidelity, Matt had previously worked for Citi for five years, on both the buy and sell side.
Matt is a CFA charterholder and also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Mr. Xiaocheng Shi is currently the Chief Representative of Shanghai Stock Exchange in Hong Kong. He is also the Co-Chairman of China Exchanges Services Company. He joined Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2002 and has worked in several different departments including the Information Center and the Global Business Development Department.
Mr. Shi graduated from Tongji University, PRC with a B.S. degree in 1983. He then worked as a teaching assistant in Tongji University for 6 years. Mr. Shi obtained his Ph.D in 1993 from the State University of New York at Buffalo and worked in the United States for more than 8 years.

Previously as Founding Principal of Carveout Partners, Smith advised financial and tech firms on carve-outs, strategic alternatives, regulation, and cap-intro.
Mr. Smith also worked with Millennium Partners, a global multi-strategy fund on a carve-out of their global technology platform - Quadric Solutions.
Instrumental in growing the first real-time "dark pool", NYFIX Millennium, Barry was key in the growth of NYFIX Inc., globally. NYFIX sold to the NYSE.
Smith was Director, Sales & Marketing for the first direct access trading system at Watcher Technologies, a subsidiary of Datek Online. Watcher sold to TDAmeritrade along with Datek.
Barry worked in Fixed Income, Risk and Strategy for Reuters and started his career at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or FDIC valuing, packaging and selling banks.
Barry graduated from Lehigh University.

Brook Teeter joined Tower in July 2014. He is the Managing Director for its Asian Business overseeing all trading operations and business development across the region. Previously, Brook was the Managing Director for GETCO Hong Kong and prior to that was a Director at Credit Suisse heading up its Client Trading and Execution Sales business across Asia.
Brook is currently residing in Singapore and has lived in Asia for over 13 years. He has been an active member of the US and Asia Pacific Steering Committee of the FIX Trading Community since 2000. He has previously held the position of Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Education and Marketing Subcommittee and has written and spoken extensively on the subject of FIX and Electronic Trading, regularly attending conferences and meeting with varying exchanges and regulatory bodies across Asia.
Mr. Teeter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and advanced degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of Delaware.

At Bloomberg L.P. since 1992, Mr. Warrick has held various management positions in Sales in EMEA before moving into Fixed Income Trading in 2006 and then to Hong Kong in 2011. Mr. Warrick holds a BA Honours degree from the University of Nottingham.

Steven is the founder of Global Buy Side Trading Consultants Limited, a consulting company focused on buy-side firms. Steven was the Global Head of Trading at Schroders Investment Management from 2002 to 2010. Prior to that, Steven worked in J.P. Morgan for 28 years trading in Equities, Fixed Income, FX and Derivatives. He also played a key role in setting up the Emerging Markets Trading team and held the positions as Head of trading in London and Asian trading out of Tokyo.
Steven was a member of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Consultative Working Group on Secondary Markets reporting to the Standing Committee on Secondary Markets. He is a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors at Investment Technology Group, Inc where he is the Chairman of the Compensation committee and a member of the technology committee.

Greg Yanco is former Chief Executive Officer of AXE ECN, a joint venture formed to provide an alternative venue to trade Australian listed securities.
Prior to this Greg was at the Australian Stock Exchange (1986-2006) where he managed diversified teams within ASX's regulatory and commercial environments covering market structure and product management, client relations, market surveillance and broker compliance.

Mr. York is a Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Alt224 group of companies a specialist advisor in the Pure Alpha space. Mr. York is also a founding Director of the eTrading Association, a professional advocacy group focused improving communication and consensus with the finance industry and its regulators. Mr. York has been involved in the quantitative trading of derivatives and equity for over 25 years. In 1992, Mr. York commenced trading Managed Accounts. In 1996 Mr. York formed his first hedge fund and in 2004 sold this business. Through the 90’s he also set up a financial software business building, amongst other things, electronic exchange interfaces. Through to 2007 Mr. York formed and oversaw the operations of an FX cash and derivatives business (which included automated market-making). In 2008 Mr. York reacquired his funds management business to move back to his specialty of fully automated quantitative trading of the global markets.
