Martyn has been with the NZX for over 4 years. At NZX Martyn
is responsible for IT delivery and IT strategy. Martyn led
the project to replace the exchange's trading system - Trayport
- in 2007. He was also a key member of the team that setup
the AXE technology platform - also Trayport - in 2007/8.
Prior to joining NZX Martyn was in London working for Barclays
Capital within the Equity Derivatives front office IT are.

John plays a key role in product development and strategy
for Orc Software.
With over 20 years experience in developing financial
software and consulting, particularly in the area of electronic
trading and FIX, John Cameron established leading FIX engine
solutions provider Cameron Systems in 1997. Cameron Systems
was acquired by Orc Software in 2006.
John was a member of the original team that wrote SEATS,
the automated trading system used by the Australian Stock
Exchange, which went live in 1987. Following this he designed
and developed electronic trading and market information
systems for major financial institutions throughout UK,
France, the USA and Australia including UBS, BZW, Barclays
Bank, Australian Stock Exchange, and Equinet (acquired by
Knight Ridder).
John is the original author of CameronFIX. He has been
involved with 250+ FIX deployments.
John's formal qualifications include a BSc (Hons) Computer
Science (University of Sydney) and a MSc Computer Science
(University of Sydney).

Peter has worked in the securities industry since 1984.
Peter’s experience spans a wide range of areas including
sharebroker systems (front and back office), risk management,

In his role as Technology Manager for McIntosh Securities,
Peter was responsible for the establishment of Equinet,
an internal sharemarket information system. He managed the
transition of Equinet to an independent structure and was
instrumental in the subsequent development of Equinet as
the leading domestic information service in Australia in
the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Peter was a founding shareholder in IRESS Market Technology
in 1993 and has served as Managing Director since that time.
IRESS is a leading provider in the development and support
of financial systems. It's premier range of share market,
wealth management and client data management systems is
used by a broad range of professionals across Australia,
New Zealand, Canada and South Africa.

Zoltan Feledy is a Senior Business Analyst at State Street
Global Advisors where he oversees global FIX connectivity.
He is a member of the Asia Pacific Regional Committee where
he is actively involved in organizing and promoting FPL

Trading Working Group where he helped with the development
of FIXatdl (FIX Algorithmic Trading Definition Language)
an XML based language used to define algorithmic trading

E. John Fildes is the Managing Director of Instinet Pacific,
responsible for all the operations of Instinet in non-Japan
Asia. Prior to this he was with Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong
for 10 years where he held positions as the Head of Equity
Marketing and Head of Electronic and Program Trading for
the Institutional Equity Division in Asia-Pacific. Before
that he was the Head of MSCI for Asia Pacific and was actively
involved in the launch of MSCI futures contracts for Taiwan
and Singapore on SIMEX. He is also the Co-Chair of the Asia
Pacific FIX (Financial Information Exchange Protocol) Steering
Committee and is active in promoting the protocol throughout
the region. He has been a member of the Steering Committee
since 2000. He has written and spoken extensively on the
subject of FIX and Electronic Trading.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Mr. Fildes held various
positions in Europe with the Financial Times Group, Standard
and Poor’s and Reuters and has an extensive knowledge of
the financial information marketplace.

Group since September 2001. Andrew is currently a Senior

Securities which was subsequently bought by Salomon Smith
Barney (now Citigroup) and was a member of the No. 1 ranked

Tora Trading
Chris joined Tora in 2006 as Managing Director and Head
of Sales and Operations for the Asia Pacific region. Prior
to joining Tora, Chris worked in Hong Kong at SWIFT, a global
banking network co-operative, where he managed the Asian
FIX sales team. Before SWIFT, Chris worked for Macgregor,
a U.S. based order management system (OMS) provider. Chris
started his career at Midland Bank stockbrokers and then
moved to AXA Investment Management. In total, Chris has
over ten years of experience in the financial software industry,
five of which have been in Asia. In addition, Chris is the
Co-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee for FIX Protocol
Limited, and has been instrumental in expanding the use
of electronic trading throughout Asia.

Martin Koopman was formerly President, North America for
Orc Software.
Based in New York he was responsible for the business and
growth of Orc Software in North America. Orc Software provides
securities trading software for advanced derivatives trading
and low latency connectivity.
Prior to this position Martin was President of Cameron
Systems based in New York. Cameron Systems was a software
company that helped securities firms connect to each other
to trade stocks, futures and options using the FIX protocol
messaging standard. With John Cameron he grew the company
from inception in Australia to being the world's largest
supplier of FIX protocol software. Cameron Systems was acquired
by Orc Software in 2006 for AUD $51 million.
Previous to this Martin was a management consultant at
The Boston Consulting Group in Australia.
Martin was Co-chair of the Americas Committee of FIX Protocol
Ltd and a member of the FIX Protocol Ltd Global Steering
Committee until 2007.
Martin resigned from Orc Software early 2008 to spend a
year traveling through the Middle East, China and India
with his wife, and moved back to Australia last month. His

Most recently, he was the Client Services Manager, Misys
Asset Management Systems in Birmingham. Prior to that, he

Sherriff holds a bachelor's degree in software engineering

investment bank UBS, following a similar role with Merrill
Lynch. Before moving to Australia in 1998, Steve worked
in the US fixed income securities markets with SunTrust
Capital Markets in Atlanta, Georgia after an economic research
role with the New York Stock Exchange.
