She is a barrister and solicitor who commenced practice at Freehill Hollingdale and Page in Western Australia in 1987. the Institutional Equity Division in Asia-Pacific. Before
that he was the Head of MSCI for Asia Pacific and was actively
involved in the launch of MSCI futures contracts for Taiwan

Pacific FIX (Financial Information Exchange Protocol) Steering
Committee and is active in promoting the protocol throughout

Before SWIFT, Chris worked for Macgregor, a U.S. based order management system (OMS) provider. Chris started his career at Midland Bank stockbrokers and then moved to AXA Investment Management. In total, Chris has over ten years of experience in the financial software industry, five of which have been in Asia. In addition, Chris is the Co-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee for FIX Protocol Limited, and has been instrumental in expanding the use of electronic trading throughout Asia.

Rob is a Managing Director in charge of the Asia-Pacific Electronic Trading Services for Nomura, where he is responsible for Sales, Product and Client Service. Product expertise includes: ModelEx, NX, SmartDMA and TradeSpex.
Prior to joining Nomura, Rob was head of Lehman Brothers’ Prime Services Origination in Asia, based in Hong Kong. While in NY, Rob was a senior member of the Equity Liquid Markets Sales force, where he ran a team focusing on Cash & Program Trading, Futures, Options, ETFs, Swaps, Risk Arbitrage, Index Changes and Derivative Related Research. Rob joined Lehman Brothers in 1998 as US Agency Program Trading Product Manager. In this role he developed a comprehensive electronic trading platform which incorporated client connectivity, quantitative research, “smart” trading strategies, access to multiple sources of liquidity and efficient operations and settlement. He was also responsible for the sales and marketing effort for program trading. He subsequently became Global Program Trading Product Manager, and focused on rewriting the common technology that supports each of the regional headquarters.
Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Rob was Executive Vice President and Head of Sales and Trading at Investment Technology Group (“ITG”), an agency brokerage and technology firm. Rob joined ITG in 1987 as one of its first employees. During his eleven-year tenure, he helped develop the firm’s range of advanced trading technologies, including POSIT, and helped drive their expansion into the agency brokerage business. He served as a member of ITG’s Executive Committee.
Rob received a BA in Economics from Amherst College and an MBA in Finance from the NYU Graduate School of Business Administration (Stern).

Tony Mackay is Chairman of Chi-X Global Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of global securities firm and Nomura Holdings, Inc. subsidiary Instinet. In this role he is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm’s Chi-X trading platforms, including Chi-X Europe, Chi-X Canada and Chi-X Australia.
Mr. Mackay joined Instinet in 1995 as Dealing Director for Instinet’s Asia-Pacific operations, based in Hong Kong. In 1999, he moved to London to establish Instinet’s Asian operations in Europe and, in 2001, moved back to Asia, where he served as President and CEO of Instinet Japan and Head of Instinet Asia, where he was actively involved in improving the development of an alternative market for Japanese equities and the sponsorship of independent research boutiques. In 2004, Mr. Mackay was appointed President and Managing Director of Instinet Europe Limited, during which time he spearheaded the establishment of Chi-X Europe Ltd.
Mr. Mackay began his stockbroking career in 1980 in Australia and has worked for both traditional and electronic brokerage firms in Sydney, Hong Kong, London and Tokyo.

Mr. Clive McDonnell is currently Regional Strategist for BNP Paribas Securities (Asia). He joined BNP Paribas from Standard & Poor’s, where he headed the strategy research team between 2001 and 2007.
Prior to working with S&P, Clive was head of North Asian economic and strategy research at Societe General. With 13 years of experience analyzing developed and emerging equity and fixed income markets, Clive has unrivalled experience in advising BNP Paribas clients. Notable achievements include reports advising clients on the steadfastness of the Hong Kong currency board arrangement during the Asian economic crisis in 1997 as well as developing a short term market sentiment index for global equity markets.

Uwe Parpart is Cantor Fitzgerald’s Chief Economist and Strategist for Asia based in
Hong Kong. He joined the firm in July 2006 as a Managing Director and Head of Fixed
Income and Currency Research, Asia. Prior to joining Cantor, Parpart was a Senior
Currency Strategist at Bank of America in Hong Kong responsible for coverage of Japan,
China (Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong), and Korea. Previous to that he was a Senior
Director at Commercial Intelligence, Singapore, a firm engaged in distressed asset
trading and resolution. Concurrently, Parpart was a columnist and contributing editor
of Forbes Global magazine.
Parpart’s experience in business and finance in Asia dates back to the late 1980s. Since
that time he has been an advisor to Manila Bank and the Thai prime minister’s office,
worked with the Mitsubishi Research Institute, Tokyo, and from 1995 to 1997 served as
deputy editor of Asia Times, a regional business daily. During the first US Reagan
administration he worked with Dr. Norman Bailey at the US National Security Council
on international economic affairs.
Following service as a naval officer, Federal Republic of Germany, Parpart received a
Fulbright scholarship for graduate work in mathematics and philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania. He has taught at the University of Pennsylvania and
Swarthmore College.
Parpart has contributed to numerous magazines and newspapers and until recently was
a columnist for Shinchosha Foresight magazine, Tokyo.

Mr. Pierre Rousseau is currently CEO of BNP Paribas Securities (Asia) and Global Head of Equity Brokerage. Prior to taking up this role, he was Head of Global Execution Services for Japan and Asia.
As Head of Global Execution Services, Pierre is responsible for ensuring the sound and steady development of the business line covering all equities and derivatives flow execution activities such as Direct Market Access (DMA), Program Trading and algorithmic trading in the Japan-Asia area. His managing position puts him in direct contact with the various aspects of this business unit from information technology to sales and operational issues.
Previously Pierre was Head of the Equities business in Asia and Japan for Credit Agricole Cheuvreux, where he oversaw the restructuring of Indosuez WI Carr Securities (IWICS), when it was taken over by Credit Agricole Cheuvreux in November 2001.
Prior to that, Pierre was with IWICS (joined in April 2000), where he created an integrated electronic platform (execution and straight-through processing) and from there, developed a new model for brokerage services.
Pierre first joined Banque Indosuez’ Luxembourg office in 1988 and then moved to Asia in 1993, based in Singapore and Tokyo respectively as Chief Operating Officer of Banque Indosuez and Credit Agricole Indosuez until 2000. Pierre started his career in 1985 with Citibank Benelux, after attaining a Diploma in Commercial Engineering.

Chris Ryan joined Fidelity International in February 2008 as Managing Director, Asia (ex-Japan and Australia) and has over 20 years experience in asset management in the Asia Pacific region. Chris is responsible for Fidelity’s operations in Hong Kong, the PRC, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea consisting of over 500 staff. He reports to Brett Goodin, President for Fidelity International, Asia Pacific and is a member of the Fidelity Asia Operating Committee.
Chris joined Fidelity International from ING Investment Management, the second largest investment management company in Asia (ex-Japan), where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific for five years. In this role, Chris was responsible for the firm’s operations in 13 locations across Asia with more than US$150 billion (house style) AUM and over 1,000 staff. Chris was a member of the ING Global Leadership Council and executive team.
Prior to this role, Chris was ING’s Regional General Manager for North Asia, responsible for operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan, the PRC, South Korea and Japan. In this position, he engineered ING’s first joint venture fund management company in the PRC, managed the merger of three ING-owned fund management entities in Taiwan, and successfully restructured the firm’s operations in Japan.
Prior to ING, Chris held the position of Managing Director of HSBC Funds Asia Pacific for seven years where he was responsible for the firm’s Asset Management retail fund operations consisting of operations in Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, US$25 billion of assets and approximately 180 staff.
Chris has a Bachelor of Business degree from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Mark Wheatley is a Managing Director, Head of Japan Equity, and Head of Electronic Trading for the Asia Region at Merrill Lynch. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of the Firm’s electronic trading initiatives in the region.
Mark joined Merrill Lynch in 2004 in London and held a number of positions including Head of EMEA Portfolio Trading and Head of EMEA Cash Equity Trading. In 2007, he was named Head of Execution Services for EMEA in the run up to the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID). Over the three years he spent in Europe, Mark helped Merrill Lynch roll out its X-Act Electronic Trading platform, which incorporates the X-Direct low-latency DMA, the advanced Algorithmic Trading platform, the MLXN Internalisation Engine and the Smart Order Routing technology, resulting in Merrill Lynch’s No. 1 ranking on the London Stock Exchange and position as the largest participating broker on Chi-X when it went live in earnest post MiFID.
Before joining Merrill Lynch, Mark spent 15 years at Morgan Stanley where he ran the Portfolio and Delta 1 Trading business in Europe.
Prior to that, Mark studied Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Mr. Wheatley became the executive Chairman of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) on 1 October 2005 and was appointed by the HKSAR Chief Executive as the SFC’s first Chief Executive Officer on 23 June 2006.
Prior to joining the SFC, Mr. Wheatley was Deputy Chief Executive of the London Stock Exchange.
Mr. Wheatley was also Chairman of the FTSE International and sat on the Listing Authority Advisory Committee of the Financial Services Authority of England.
Mr. Wheatley qualified as an accountant in 1984, has a first degree in Philosophy and an MBA.
